Governor Of Istanbul
The Governor of Istanbul ( Turkish: ''İstanbul Valiliği'') is the civil service state official responsible for both national government and state affairs in the Province of Istanbul. Similar to the Governors of the 80 other Provinces of Turkey, the Governor of Istanbul is appointed by the Government of Turkey and is responsible for the implementation of government legislation within Istanbul. The Governor is also the most senior commander of both the Istanbul provincial police force and the Istanbul Gendarmerie. Appointment The Governor of Istanbul is appointed by the President of Turkey, who confirms the appointment after recommendation from the Turkish Government. The Ministry of the Interior first considers and puts forward possible candidates for approval by the cabinet. The Governor of Istanbul is therefore not a directly elected position and instead functions as the most senior civil servant in the Province of Istanbul. Ali Yerlikaya
ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. The issue of his succession caused a major rift between Muslims and divided them into Shia and Sunni groups. Ali was assassinated in the Grand Mosque of Kufa in 661 by the forces of Mu'awiya, who went on to found the Umayyad Caliphate. Hayri Kozakçıoğlu
Hayri Kozakçıoğlu (1938 – May 23, 2013) was a Turkish high-ranking civil servant and politician. He served as district governor, police chief, province governor in various administrative divisions. He was known as the first regional governor in the state of emergency ("OHAL") imposed in the provinces of Southeastern Anatolia and governor of Istanbul Province. Orhan Erbuğ
Orhan Ghazi ( ota, اورخان غازی; tr, Orhan Gazi, also spelled Orkhan, 1281 – March 1362) was the second bey of the Ottoman Beylik from 1323/4 to 1362. He was born in Söğüt, as the son of Osman I. In the early stages of his reign, Orhan focused his energies on conquering most of northwestern Anatolia. Namık Kemal Şentürk
Namık Kemal Şentürk (born 24 July 1922, Merzifon14 April 2020) was a Turkish politician. He was the son of Bayburt lawyer Sinan Şentürk (son of Hasan Efendi, grandchild of Nazim Effendi, son of Hasan Effendi, grandson of Huseyin Effendi, from the Haciibrahim family of Kitre Village). He completed his primary and secondary education in Merzifon and his high school education in Erzurum. He graduated from the Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1945. Vefa Poyraz
Vefa is part of the district of Fatih in Istanbul, and lies inside what was once the old walled city of Constantinople. It lies roughly northwest of the eastern section of the Aqueduct of Valens, and is rich in monuments, both Byzantine and Ottoman. It takes its name from the Muslim saint (wali) Shaykh Ebu’l Vefa who is buried locally in his own mosque and dergah. Vefa lies to the east of busy Atatürk Bulvari, the main road pushed through the old city by the French architect Henri Prost in the 1950s.
