Government College Of Engineering And Ceramic Technology
The Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, formerly known as College of Ceramic Technology (CCT), is a college affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in Kolkata, India. The college offers B. Tech in Ceramic Technology, Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering and M. Tech in the first two. The college has recently stepped into its 75th year of existence. The Platinum Jubilee of the college was celebrated in April 2016 with association of international conferences, an alumni meet and visit of eminent peoples. Graduation The college offers BTech in ceramic engineering, information technology and computer science and engineering. There is an intake capacity of 48 students (40 through WBJEE and 8 through JELET) per department. The BTech courses of the CSE and IT departments were introduced in 2001 and 2000 respectively. Beliaghata, Kolkata
Beliaghata, also known as Beleghata, is a neighbourhood of Central Kolkata, in Kolkata district, West Bengal, India. History The East India Company obtained from the Mughal emperors, Mughal emperor Farrukhsiyar, in 1717, the right to rent from 38 villages surrounding their settlement. Of these 5 lay across the Hooghly River, Hooghly in what is now Howrah district. The remaining 33 villages were on the Calcutta side. After the fall of Siraj-ud-daulah, the last independent Nawab of Bengal, it purchased these villages in 1758 from Mir Jafar and reorganised them. These villages were known en-bloc as ''Dihi Panchannagram'' and Beliaghata was one of them. It was considered to be a suburb beyond the limits of the Maratha Ditch. WBJEE
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or the WBJEE is a state-government controlled centralised test, conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to many private and governmental engineering institutions in West Bengal. The test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduation (also known as Bachelor's) courses. The exam can be taken by those who studied Pure Science and Vocational 10+2 stream in plus two level with the specific subjects tested in the examination, which are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
