Gourmet (TV Series)
''Gourmet'' () is a 2008 South Korean television series starring Kim Rae-won and Nam Sang-mi. It aired on SBS from June 18 to September 9, 2008 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 24 episodes. It was adapted from '' Sikgaek'', a popular manhwa by Huh Young-man, which was first serialized in newspapers in 2002. The TV series explores the theme of cooking through the rivalry between two ''hansik'' (Korean cuisine) chefs, as one of them travels around the nation looking for the best ingredients and recipes. Plot Kim Rae-Won stars as the warm hearted chef-in-training Lee Sung-Chan, while actress Nam Sang-Mi plays a silly country girl, Kim Jin-soo, who trails Lee with high hopes of becoming a food columnist. The Korea Drama Awards () is an awards ceremony for excellence in television in South Korea. It was established in 2007, and is held annually in October in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province as the official main event of the annual Korea Drama Festival (which was launched a year ago). The eligibility period is October of the previous year to September of the current year. Kang Nam-gil (born August 27, 1958) is a South Korean actor. Kang made his acting debut as a 9-year-old child actor in 1966. He later transitioned to adult roles in 1981 with ''Let Us Love'' written by Kim Soo-hyun (and dropped out of Hanyang University's English Language and Literature department). Choi Bool-am (born June 15, 1940) is a South Korean actor and a professor. Biography Choi was born in the neighborhood of , Dong-gu, Incheon, Korea in 1940. Choi was the only son to his father Choi Cheol, a business man, and his mother Lee Myeong-suk who was a daughter of a royal pharmacist of the Korean Empire. Choi Cheol suddenly died when Choi was 8 years old and entered Sinheung Elementary School in Incheon. Choi moved to Seoul to attend Jungang Middle School.
