Göte Augustin Almqvist (25 June 1921 in Skellefteå, Sweden - 21 December 1994 in Skellefteå, Sweden) was a Swedish ice hockey player who represented his country at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, winning the bronze medal in the team competition. He was born on 25 July 1921 and died on 21 December 1994 in Skellefteå, Västerbotten County. Ernst Göte Hagström (7 September 1918 – 5 October 2014) was a Swedish long-distance runner. He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics in the 3000 metre steeplechase and won the bronze medal behind teammates Tore Sjöstrand and Erik Elmsäter. Hagström started as a middle-distance runner, but later focused on the steeplechase, in which he was ranked second in the world in 1948 and third in 1944 and 1945. In 1949 he won his only national title, in cross-country running. Göte Turesson
Göte Wilhelm Turesson (6 April 1892 – 30 December 1970) was a Swedish evolutionary botanist who made significant contributions to ecological genetics, and coined the terms ecotype and agamospecies. He conducted extensive work to demonstrate that there is a genetic basis to the differentiation of plant populations. This work stood in sharp contrast to most researchers at the time, who believed that the differentiation of plant populations was due to phenotypic plasticity. Further, Turesson came to the conclusion that differentiation of plant populations was largely driven by natural selection. His work on locally adapted plant populations led him to coin the term "ecotype" in 1922. Göte Wälitalo
Göte Emil Wälitalo (born July 18, 1956) is a Swedes, Swedish former professional ice hockey goaltender. Wälitalo began his career with his hometown team Kiruna AIF before joining IF Björklöven in 1980. He would spend the next eight season with Björklöven before retiring in 1988. He later head coach of Team Kiruna, IF Björklöven's J20 team and Tegs SK. He also became an assistant coach of Sweden's under-18 team as well as a goaltending coach for Björklöven and Vännäs HC. Walitalo also played for the Sweden men's national ice hockey team, Swedish national team and won a bronze medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics. References External links
