Crossmolina
Crossmolina is a town in the Barony of Tyrawley in County Mayo, Ireland, as well as the name of the parish in which Crossmolina is situated. The town sits on the River Deel near the northern shore of Lough Conn. Crossmolina is about west of Ballina on the N59 Road. Surrounding the town, there are a number of agriculturally important townlands, including Enaghbeg, Rathmore, and Tooreen. Michael Moyles
Michael Moyles is a former Gaelic footballer who played for Crossmolina and the Mayo county team. He also managed the Mayo ladies' football team from 2021 to 2023 where they won their first silverware since 2016. Background Moyles is from the St Mary's Park area of Crossmolina, County Mayo, Ireland where he was educated at Crossmolina St Tiernan's Boys' National School and Gortnor Abbey Secondary School. Paul Galvin (Gaelic Footballer)
Paul Galvin (born 2 November 1979) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays Gaelic football with his local club Finuge, his divisional side Feale Rangers and for the Kerry county team between 2003 and 2014. Galvin had the honour of being named as the 1000th All Star Award. He also represented Ireland in the 2004 International Rules Series. Galvin writes a weekly fashion column for the ''Irish Independent'' newspaper and presents a show on Radio Kerry. He has also managed the Wexford footballers. Stephen Rochford
Stephen Rochford (born 10 October 1978) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former manager and player. He was manager of the senior Mayo county team from 2015 to 2018. Raised in Crossmolina, County Mayo, Rochford was educated at Crossmolina Boys' National School and Gortnor Abbey. He was introduced to football by primary school teacher John Cosgrove and Crossmolina coach Tom McNulty. He won Connacht School titles for Gortnor Abbey, playing under Gerry Leonard. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Crossmolina team, winning a county under-21 championship medal in 1997. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). Seán Hegarty (born 25 June 1968), better known by his stage name Marc Roberts, is an Irish singer, best known for representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997. Margaret Heneghan
Margaret Heneghan (born 1959) is an Irish lawyer who was a judge of the Circuit Court between 2010 and 2015, before serving on the High Court from 2015 to 2017. She previously practiced as a barrister. Early and personal life Heneghan was born in 1959. She attended the Gortnor Abbey school in County Mayo and was educated at the King's Inns.
