Gorripidea is a Basque Country (greater region), Basque political party with a Socialism, socialist and Ezker abertzalea, abertzale ideology, born in 2012 after the dissolution of Zutik (political party created in 1991 by the union of Communist Movement of Euskadi, EMK and the Revolutionary Communist League (Spain), LKI). Founded in March 2009 as an internal current of Zutik, with a more Basque nationalism, nationalist profile, in 2012 the current transformed itself in a political party due to the dissolution of Zutik in December 2011. In the labour field, its members sympathize with Ezker Sindikalaren Konbergentzia (ESK). Zutik
Zutik ( en, Stand up) was a political party in Basque Country, Spain which was dissolved in 2009. Zutik was formed in 1991 through the merger of the EMK and LKI—the Basque branch of LCR. 2014 European Parliament Election In Spain
The 2014 European Parliament election in Spain was held on Sunday, 25 May 2014, as part of the EU-wide election to elect the 8th European Parliament. All 54 seats allocated to Spain as per the Treaty of Lisbon were up for election. The People's Party (PP) emerged as the largest party overall, albeit with its worst nationwide election result in 25 years with a mere 26.1% of the share and 16 seats, losing 2.6 million votes and 8 seats from its 2009 result.
