Gornji Grad (Zemun)
Gornji Grad ( sr-cyr, Горњи Град) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun. Location Gornji Grad is located in the northern part of Zemun, spreading along the right bank of the Danube. It is roughly bounded by the ''Ugrinovačka'' and ''Banatska'' streets, while other important streets include ''Cara Dušana'' and ''Pregrevica''. Being elongated and one of the largest neighborhoods of Zemun, Gornji Grad is bordered by many other neighborhoods: Gardoš on the east, Ćukovac and Muhar on the southeast, Sava Kovačević, Sutjeska, Zemun Bačka and Bački Ilovik on the south, Altina on the southwest, while in the west it extends in the direction of Nova Galenika and Goveđi Brod. The section along the bank of the Danube is known as the sub-neighborhood of Pregrevica, after the main street in this part of Gornji Grad. List Of Belgrade Neighbourhoods And Suburbs
Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, is divided into seventeen municipalities, of which ten are urban and seven suburban. In this list, each neighbourhood or suburb is categorised by the municipality in which it is situated. Six of these ten urban municipalities are completely within the bounds of Belgrade City Proper, while the remaining four have both urban and suburban parts. Sava Kovačević (Zemun)
Sava Kovačević ( sr-cyrl, Сава Ковачевић; 25 January 1905 – 13 June 1943) was a Yugoslav Partisan divisional commander during World War II, and one of the heroes of the communist Partisan movement. Early life Kovačević was born in the village of Nudo near Grahovo to father Blagoje and mother Jovana (née Perović), into a family of peasants. In his early age he worked as a lumberjack and blacksmith and adopted communism, becoming a member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) in 1925. He gradually rose through the party ranks, became one of the communist leaders in Montenegro. He was often arrested for his activities. The Metropolitanate of Karlovci ( sr, Карловачка митрополија, Karlovačka mitropolija) was a metropolitanate of the Eastern Orthodox Church that existed in the Habsburg monarchy between 1708 and 1848. Stefan Stratimirović
Stefan Stratimirović ( sr, Стефан Стратимировић; 27 December 1757 – 22 September 1836) was a Serbian bishop who served as the Metropolitan of Karlovci, head of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Austrian Empire, between 1790 and 1836. Having been appointed metropolitan at the age of 33, Stratimirović maintained control over church life decisively and autonomously. He was an aid to Serbian rebel leader Karađorđe during the First Serbian Uprising and actively participated in the suppression of Tican's Rebellion in 1807. Fudbalski klub Zemun (Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Земун) is a Serbian professional football club based in Zemun, Belgrade, that competes in the Serbian League Belgrade. History Immediately after the end of the Second World War, the sports activities in Zemun were restored. FK Teleoptik () is a professional football club based in Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian League Belgrade, the third tier of the national league system. History Founded by the manufacturing company of the same name in 1952, the club exclusively played in the local leagues of Belgrade within the Yugoslav football league system, but without notable achievements. Donji Grad ( sr-cyr, Доњи Град; ''Lower town'') is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun. Goveđi Brod
Goveđi Brod (Serbian Cyrillic: Говеђи брод) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun. Location Goveđi Brod is the northwestern extension of urban Zemun proper, located on the right bank of the Danube. It occupies roughly the area between the Danube and the road which connects Zemun and the outer suburb of Batajnica (''Batajnički drum''). Altina ( sr-cyr, Алтина) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Located in the Belgrade's municipality of Zemun, it is one of the newest and fastest growing parts of the city.
