Gordon Kampe
Gordon Kampe (born 10 September 1976) is a German composer and academic teacher. Career Kampe was born in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He completed an apprenticeship as an electrician in 1995 and studied after his '' Abitur'' composition with Hans-Joachim Hespos, Adriana Hölszky (Rostock) and Nicolaus A. Huber (Essen). In 2008, he finished his dissertation about fairy tale opera of the 20th century at the Folkwang University of the Arts. Kampe is notably interested in the opera. Since 2009 he has written a number of commissioned works, among other for the Stuttgart State Opera (''Zivilcourage. Musik für einen Platz'', world premiere 2009), the Oldenburg State Theatre (''ANOIA'', world premiere 2012) and the Deutsche Oper Berlin (''Kannst du pfeifen, Johanna'', world premiere 2013). Herne () is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the Ruhr area directly between the cities of Bochum and Gelsenkirchen. History Like most other cities in the region, Herne (ancient Haranni) was a tiny village until the 19th century. Genuin (record Label)
GENUIN is an independent classical music label and remote classical music recording studio based in Leipzig, Germany. The term “genuin” comes from Latin and stands for “innate, authentic, not counterfeit.” History The company was founded in Detmold, Germany in 1998 as "GENUIN Musikproduktion" by sound engineers Holger Busse and Alfredo Lasheras Hakobian. Five years later, in January 2003, the "GENUIN" classical music label began distributing CDs throughout Germany, with most releases produced by its own recording engineers. In 2005, the company moved from Detmold to Leipzig as a result of which a fruitful collaboration with German broadcaster MDR and the famed Leipzig Gewandhaus resulted. WERGO
WERGO is a German record label focusing on contemporary classical music. It was founded in 1962 by German art historian and music publisher (1903–1975) and the musicologist Helmut Kirchmeyer. Their first release, filed under "WER 60001", was Schoenberg's ''Pierrot lunaire'', conducted by Pierre Boulez. The record company is owned by Schott Music, both based in Mainz, Germany. A great number of contemporary composers have been recorded by the label.
