Goran Trbuljak
Goran Trbuljak (born 21 April 1948 in Varaždin) is a Croatian cinematographer, photographer and conceptual artist. Trbuljak had first studied at the graphic arts department of the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated from in 1972. After spending two years of apprenticeship at the ''École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts'' in Paris, he returned to Croatia and enrolled at the Zagreb Academy of Drama Arts and studied cinematography until he graduated in 1980. His filmmaking career started in 1980 with Ante Babaja's film ''Lost Homeland'' (''Izgubljeni zavičaj''), after which he went on to shoot some 25 feature films, as well as a number of television films and series. Trbuljak worked with many prominent Croatian directors, such as Branko Schmidt, Zvonimir Berković, Krsto Papić, Zoran Tadić, Davor Žmegač, and others. Zoran Tadić
Zoran Tadić (2 September 1941 – 9 September 2007) was a Croatia, Croatian film director, critic, and pedagogue. Zoran Tadić is considered as one of the most important Cinema of Croatia, Croatian film directors, having directed more than twenty films from 1969 to 1997. He studied comparative literature and philosophy in Zagreb. He began his career as a critic and publicist in 1961, and then as an assistant, assistant director and co-writer. Tadić is best known for ''Rhythm of a Crime'' (1981), a science-fiction thriller based on a short story by Pavao Pavličić. An academy ( Attic Greek: Ἀκαδήμεια; Koine Greek Ἀκαδημία) is an institution of secondary or tertiary higher learning (and generally also research or honorary membership). ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' () is a Croatian daily newspaper published in Split. The first issue of ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' was published on 17 June 1943 by Tito's Partisans in an abandoned stone barn on Mosor, a mountain near Split, while the city was occupied by the Italian army. The paper was later published in various locations until Split was liberated on 26 October 1944. From the following day onward, ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' has been published in Split. Although it was originally viewed as a strictly Dalmatian regional newspaper, during the following decades ''Slobodna Dalmacija'', grew into one of the largest and most widely read daily newspapers of Yugoslavia, with its circulation reaching a zenith in the late 1980s. ''Globus'' is a Croatian language weekly news magazine published in Zagreb, Croatia. History and profile ''Globus'' was started in 1990, having some of its first issues published during the Croatian War of Independence. The founders are Ninoslav Pavic, Denis Kuljiš and Zdravko Jurak. The magazine is based in Zagreb. It is owned by Europapress holding (EPH) media group, one of the largest media publishing companies in the country. Pula Film Festival
Pula Film Festival ( hr, Pulski filmski festival) is an annual Croatian film festival, established in 1954. It is held in a Roman amphitheater known as the Pula Arena. Pula Film Festival is the oldest Croatian film festival and is usually held in the summer, in July or August. Apart from film screenings open to the public, the annual Croatian film industry awards are also traditionally presented at the festival. The awards presented at the festival (called Golden Arenas) are the main national film awards in the country, and they serve as the Croatian equivalent of the American Academy Awards. The festival was originally started in 1954 and within a few years it became the centerpiece event of the Yugoslav film industry, with the first national awards being presented in 1957. This lasted until 1991, when the festival was cancelled due to the breakup of Yugoslavia, only to resume in 1992 as the Croatian film awards festival.
