Goran (; ) is a Slavic male first name, mostly used in south Slavic countries such as Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Slavic Languages
The Slavic languages, also known as the Slavonic languages, are Indo-European languages spoken primarily by the Slavic peoples and their descendants. They are thought to descend from a proto-language called Proto-Slavic, spoken during the Early Middle Ages, which in turn is thought to have descended from the earlier Proto-Balto-Slavic language, linking the Slavic languages to the Baltic languages in a Balto-Slavic group within the Indo-European family. Goran Dragić
Goran Dragić (born 6 May 1986) is a Slovenian professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "the Dragon", he had played professional basketball in Slovenia and Spain before entering the NBA in 2008. Dragić has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, and the Brooklyn Nets. Goran Marić Govorcin (Serbian Cyrillic: Горан Mapић; born 23 March 1984) is a Serbian former footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his professional career in Spain, almost exclusively in the lower leagues with Celta de Vigo B. Ivan Goran Kovačić
Ivan Goran Kovačić (; 21 March 1913 – 12 July 1943) was a Croatian poet and writer. Early life and background He was born in Lukovdol (part of Vrbovsko), a town in Gorski Kotar, to a Croat father, Ivan Kovačić, and Transylvanian Jewish mother Ruža (née Klein). Goran Karan
Goran Karan (born 2 April 1964) is a Croatian vocalist. He specializes in songs influenced by Dalmatian folk music and is known for his powerful and refined tenor voice. Karan's collaboration with composer Zdenko Runjić led to some of his most acclaimed work, which won him several awards. Biography Karan was the lead singer of Croatian rock group Big Blue, before becoming a solo artist in 1997. Goran Jevtić ( sr-Cyrl, Горан Јевтић; born 18 January 1978) is a Serbian actor and director. During his two decade long career, Jevtić has composed a prolific range of performances notable in film, television and theater. Goran Ivanišević
Goran Ivanišević (; born 13 September 1971) is a Croatian former professional tennis player and current coach. He is the only player to win a Wimbledon singles title as a wildcard. He achieved this in 2001 while ranked world No. 125, after being runner-up at Wimbledon in 1992, 1994 and 1998. Ivanišević's career-high singles ranking was world No. 2, achieved in July 1994. Goran Hadžić ( sr-cyrl, Горан Хаџић, ; 7 September 1958 – 12 July 2016) was a war criminal and a nationalist politician of the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina, in office during the Croatian War of Independence. Goran Gavrančić (Serbian Cyrillic: Горан Гавранчић; born 2 August 1978) is a former Serbian professional footballer who played as a defender.
