"Good Dancers" is a 2003 song by Australian alternative rock duo The Sleepy Jackson, released on 13 October 2003 as the second single from the album '' Lovers''. The song charted at #71 in the UK. Music videos Two music videos were produced for the song. The first was directed by Nash Edgerton and depicts a janitor (played by Dan Wyllie) in a hospital walking into a sparse room and eventually dancing with a fellow nurse (played by Rita Kalnejais). The second, produced for the song's American release, has a different narrative and centers around angels in a forest running and dancing. The Sleepy Jackson
The Sleepy Jackson are an Australian alternative rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia. The band's name was inspired by a former drummer who was narcoleptic. The band revolves around the distinctive vocal style of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Luke Steele. Stemming from a musical family, Luke's father Rick Steele is a local blues musician, and two of Luke's siblings are also musicians, with brother Jesse a former member of The Sleepy Jackson (and currently performing with father Rick in The Hot Biscuit Band), and sister Katy, who fronts another Perth rock band, Little Birdy. While a series of acclaimed EPs brought The Sleepy Jackson to a broader musical attention of Australia, it was the release of their 2003 album '' Lovers'' and 2006 second album ''Personality – One Was a Spider, One Was a Bird'' that directed significant international focus upon the band. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Luke James Steele (born 13 December 1979) is an Australian musician, singer and songwriter. Steele is the vocalist and primary songwriter of the alternative rock band the Sleepy Jackson and is a member of the electronic music duo Empire of the Sun. Early life Steele was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on 13 December 1979.. He then moved to Perth, Western Australia. Luke attended Yokine Primary School and Mount Lawley Senior High School. Luke grew up in Jandakot with his sister Katy. Personal life Steele is a member of a musical family. His father, Rick, is a blues guitarist and harmonica player. Daniel Wyllie (born 1970) is an Australian stage, film and television actor. Wyllie began acting in theatre. Early life Wyllie grew up on Sydney's North Shore. He attended North Sydney Boys High School and the University of New South Wales, where he studied arts for two years. Although he took part in amateur productions with the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), and while his involvement led to professional work, Wyllie considers himself untrained.
