''Golf'' is a 1922 American silent comedy film starring Larry Semon and featuring Oliver Hardy. The film has been released on DVD. Plot Using a drill to make holes in his floor, a golfer (Larry Semon) refuses to stop playing, swinging clubs from a tabletop, smashing mirrors and pottery throughout the house, even knocking golf balls into the soup bowl of a neighbor (Oliver Hardy). Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game.
