Beryl Goldwyn
Beryl Fleur Karney (31 December 1930 – 11 October 2022), also known as Beryl Goldwyn, was an English ballet dancer. Born near London, she started dancing at the age of three. She attended the Royal Ballet School and performed with the Royal Ballet in ''The Sleeping Princess'' (''The Sleeping Beauty (ballet), The Sleeping Beauty''), with Dame Margot Fonteyn, when the Royal Opera House reopened after the World War II in 1946. Goldwyn danced with the Anglo Polish Ballet in 1949, and she joined the Ballet Rambert in 1950, later becoming its prima ballerina. Goldwyn danced numerous roles, including ''Les Sylphides'', ''The Nutcracker'', Gala Performance, and ''The Sleeping Beauty (ballet), The Sleeping Beauty'', but her most celebrated was the part of ''Giselle''. John Howard Goldwyn (born August 10, 1958) is an American film producer. Biography Goldwyn was born on August 10, 1958, in Los Angeles, California, the son of producer Samuel Goldwyn Jr., and his wife, film and stage actress Jennifer Howard. He has two brothers: film director and actor Tony Goldwyn and Francis Goldwyn. Robert Malcolm Goldwyn (Worcester, Massachusetts, 1930–2010) was an American surgeon; an author, activist, Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Beth Israel Hospital from 1972 to 1996. He was the editor-in-chief of ''Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery'' for 25 years. Education Goldwyn was senior class president and graduated from Worcester Academy in 1948 with second honors. Samuel Goldwyn (born Szmuel Gelbfisz; yi, שמואל געלבפֿיש; August 27, 1882 (claimed) January 31, 1974), also known as Samuel Goldfish, was a Polish-born American film producer. He was best known for being the founding contributor and executive of several motion picture studios in Hollywood. He was awarded the 1973 Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award, the Irving G. Goldwin Arthur Martin (17 May 191326 February 2001) was a Canadian lawyer and judge who was known as an expert on criminal law. He was a judge of the Court of Appeal for Ontario from 1973 to 1988. Early life and education Martin was born on 17 May 1913 in Huntsville, Ontario. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1938 as gold medallist. He was called to the bar of Ontario in June of that year and to the bar of British Columbia in 1950. Career Martin became a defence lawyer in 1940. He represented 60 people charged with murder and none were convicted of murder, although some were convicted of other offences. He was elected treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1970. Goldwyn Pictures Corporation was an American motion picture production company that operated from 1916 to 1924 when it was merged with two other production companies to form the major studio, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was founded on November 19, 1916, by Samuel Goldwyn, an executive at Lasky's Feature Play Company (later Paramount Pictures), and Broadway producer brothers Edgar and Archibald Selwyn, using an amalgamation of both last names to name the company. The studio proved moderately successful, but became most famous due to its iconic Leo the Lion trademark.
