Golden Awards
The Golden Awards (金视奖) was an award show presented by ntv7 to recognise excellence in the production and performance of Malaysian Chinese television before the channel's rebranding. The first awards show took place on 25 September 2010 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Putrajaya and was hosted by Malaysian Cheryl Lee and Singaporean Bryan Wong. There are 19 awards which will be presented at the first annual awards show. These awards are divided into three categories, namely Drama, non-Drama and Viewers' Choice. The nominees for this awards show will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of experts within the Malaysian Chinese entertainment industry. All Malaysian Chinese television programmes qualify for nomination. Singapore-based Malaysian actors and actresses contracted to MediaCorp who have acted in co-productions are also eligible. Yeo Yann Yann
Yeo Yann Yann (born 20 February 1977) is a Malaysian actress. She has worked in theatre, television, and film. Her credits include ''Singapore Dreaming'', ''Thunderstorm'', '' 881'', ''Ilo Ilo'' and ''Wet Season''. She is a pioneer-graduate of Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI). Chinese-language Drama Television Series In Malaysia
Chinese (, especially when referring to written Chinese) is a group of languages spoken natively by the ethnic Han Chinese majority and many minority ethnic groups in Greater China. 2010 Golden Awards
The 2010 Golden Awards was an awards ceremony held in Malaysia. It is the inaugural ceremony and was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Putrajaya. The list of nominees was published in July and the ceremony took place in September. The show was hosted by 988 FM radio DJ Cheryl Lee and Singaporean host and actor Bryan Wong. A special episode called "Golden Awards Prelude" featuring the nominees from each category was aired on ntv7 during the weeks leading up to the ceremony. Gary Yap (; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Ya̍p Tsun-tshìm''; born 15 January 1977) is a Malaysian television personality and a host on Star Search talent quest. Career Gary Yap was schoolmates with fellow Star Search contestant and actor Zhang Yaodong. Yap went to Singapore in 2001 to pioneer his career as an interpreter. He represented Malaysia while participating in the finals of "Star Search", a television program hosted by the New Media Results Malaysia Male Champions' Trophy.
