Golden, Missouri
Golden is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southeastern Barry County, Missouri, United States. It is approximately southeast of Cassville. It is located south of Table Rock Lake and one mile north of Missouri Route 86 on Highway J. At the 2020 census, Golden had a population of 275. A post office called Golden has been in operation since 1876. The community most likely was named after the local Golden family. Cassville R-IV School District
Cassville R-IV School District is a school district headquartered in Cassville, Missouri. It includes the communities of Cassville, Arrow Point, Butterfield, Eagle Rock, Emerald Beach, and Golden. An island in the Shell Knob census-designated place also falls in the district boundaries. History In 2001 the district stopped allowing the use of corporal punishment. Merlyn Johnson became superintendent in 2011. In 2022 the district had 1,900 students. That year the district began using corporal punishment again in cases where parents approve of the option. The district did this because several area parents wanted that option. Route 86 is a highway in southwest Missouri. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 65 just north of Ridgedale. Table Rock Lake
Table Rock Lake is an artificial lake or reservoir in the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas in the United States. Designed, built and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the lake is impounded by Table Rock Dam (located ), which was constructed from 1954 to 1958 on the White River. The lake is a popular attraction for the city of Branson, Missouri, and the nearby town of Shell Knob, Missouri. There are several commercial marinas along the lake, and Table Rock State Park is located on the east side, both north and south of Table Rock Dam.
