Gold Line Foothill Extension
The Foothill Extension is an extension of the Los Angeles Metro Rail L Line light rail line from its former terminus in Pasadena, California, east through the "Foothill Cities" of Los Angeles County. The first stage of the plan, Phase 2A, extended the L Line (then known as the Gold Line) from Pasadena to Azusa; it opened on March 5, 2016. Phase 2B, which will extend the line a further four stations to Pomona–North, broke ground in December 2017. The corridor extension forms a part of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is being planned and implemented by Foothill Gold Line. In addition to enhancing mobility in one of the most congested metropolitan areas in the United States, the is seen as an economic catalyst for the region, generating 6,900 jobs during the construction phase and creating infill and transit-oriented development opportunities. Atchison, Topeka And Santa Fe Railway
The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway , often referred to as the Santa Fe or AT&SF, was one of the larger railroads in the United States. The railroad was chartered in February 1859 to serve the cities of Atchison, Kansas, Atchison and Topeka, Kansas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. The railroad reached the Kansas–Colorado border in 1873 and Pueblo, Colorado, in 1876. To create a demand for its services, the railroad set up real estate offices and sold farmland from the land grants that it was awarded by United States Congress, Congress. Citrus College is a public community college in Glendora, California. The Citrus Community College District, which supports the institution, includes the communities of Azusa, Claremont, Duarte, Glendora and Monrovia. Founded in 1915 by educator Floyd S. APU/Citrus College Station
APU/Citrus College station is an at-grade light rail station on the L Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located between Palm Drive and Citrus Avenue, a block north of Foothill Boulevard, in Azusa, California. It is named after the nearby Azusa Pacific University (APU) and Citrus College. This station opened on March 5, 2016, as part of Phase 2A of the Foothill Extension, and currently serves as the northern terminus of the L Line. Phase 2B of the Foothill Extension will open to Pomona in 2026. Silver Streak (bus)
Silver Streak is a bus rapid transit route between Montclair and Los Angeles operated by Foothill Transit. Between the Montclair TransCenter and the El Monte Bus Station buses travel on the San Bernardino Freeway and between El Monte and Downtown Los Angeles they utilize the El Monte Busway. The service was introduced in 2007 in response to overcrowding on Foothill Transit route 480. LA Metro’s J Line service, which also uses the El Monte Busway, was introduced in 2009 and since 2012 both agencies have offered a reciprocal fare program allowing pass holders to ride either route between Downtown Los Angeles and El Monte. Claremont station is a passenger rail and bus station in Claremont, California, United States. It is served by Metrolink's San Bernardino Line which runs from Los Angeles Union Station to , with some trains formerly continuing to Riverside on weekends. Metrolink San Bernardino Line
The San Bernardino Line is a Metrolink line running between Downtown Los Angeles east through the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire to San Bernardino, with express service to Redlands. It is one of the three initial lines (along with the Santa Clarita and Ventura Lines) on the original Metrolink system. As of August 2016, 20 trains run Los Angeles to San Bernardino on weekdays. Montclair Transcenter
Montclair Transcenter is an intermodal transit center located at 5091 Richton Street in Montclair, California. It is located between Central and Monte Vista Avenues on Richton Street just north of the Montclair Plaza shopping center. The TransCenter is owned by the City of Montclair. Omnitrans, Foothill Transit, and the Riverside Transit Agency all provide bus service, with Foothill and RTA providing express service and Foothill and Omnitrans providing local service. It is also a station on the Metrolink San Bernardino Line. The station serves as the dividing line between Foothill's service area and Omnitrans' service area.
