Godsticks
Godsticks is a British progressive rock band based in Newport, Wales, which formed in 2006. Their musical style today can also be described as progressive metal. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Darran Charles, bassist Dan Nelson, guitarist Gavin Bushell, and drummer Tom Price. The band has released five studio albums and one self-titled EP; ''Spiral Vendetta'', ''The Envisage Conundrum'', ''Emergence'', ''Faced With Rage'' and ''Inescapable''. History 2009 - 2012 Godsticks burst onto the progressive rock scene back in 2009 with their eclectic self-titled EP. The sheer originality of the music was greeted with enthusiasm by critics and music fans alike, with the band being considered “a refreshing approach to the contemporary music scene”. Kscope
Kscope is an independent record label that is part of Snapper Music, and a sister-label of Peaceville. It is dedicated to artists in the progressive rock genre. The label has released albums by Steven Wilson and his projects Porcupine Tree (mostly re-issue only), No-Man and Blackfield. In 2008 it branched out and has since signed the post-progressive artists Anathema, Lunatic Soul and Ulver, and progressive rock stalwart Ian Anderson to their roster. In 2013, the Steven Wilson release ''The Raven That Refused to Sing (and Other Stories)'' received the Album of the Year award at the Progressive Music Awards. The O2
The O2 is a large entertainment district on the Greenwich peninsula in South East London, England, including an indoor arena, a music club, a Cineworld cinema, an exhibition space, piazzas, bars, and restaurants. It was built largely within the former Millennium Dome, a large dome-shaped canopy built to house an exhibition celebrating the turn of the third millennium; consequently ''The Dome'' remains a name in common usage for the venue. It is sometimes referred to as The O2 Arena, but that name properly refers to an indoor arena within The O2. Aisles
Aisles is a six-piece progressive rock band originally from Santiago, Chile. The group was formed in 2001 by brothers Germán (guitar) and Luis Vergara (keyboards), and childhood friend Rodrigo Sepúlveda (guitar). Later on, it expanded to include lead singer Sebastián Vergara and Alejandro Meléndez (keyboards). Drummer Felipe Candia and bassist Daniel Baird-Kerr joined the band in 2007 and 2011 respectively. The band has often been praised by its eclectic style, combining elements of rock, progressive rock, fusion, and Latin music, among others. Dorje (band)
Dorje were an English rock band formed in 2012 under the name The Rob Chapman Band, however soon changed their name to Dorje. It was founded by Rob Chapman, Rabea Massaad, Dave Hollingworth and Ben Minal. Description 2007–2012: Formative years, ''Primordial Audio Chronicle'' Prior to Dorje, Massaad, Hollingworth and Minal were members of nu metal band ChasinJade. After a chance meeting in a bar, Chapman asked Massaad to join the band he was forming. Subsequently Hollingworth and Minal were brought on board, forming The Rob Chapman Band. Textures (band)
Textures were a Dutch progressive metalcore band, formed in 2001. Textures' lineup revolved around founding members Jochem Jacobs, Stef Broks, Bart Hennephof, and bassist Remko Tielemans who joined in 2007. Since 2010, vocalist Daniël de Jongh and keyboardist Uri Dijk have been with the band. Textures first came to the spotlight with their debut album ''Polars'' with Listenable Records which won an Essent Award for "Most Promising Act" in 2004.
