Godiva (comics)
Godiva is the name of three DC Comics characters. One is a superhero while the other two are supervillains. Publication history Godiva first appeared in ''Super Friends'' #7 and was created by E. Nelson Bridwell. Fictional character biography Dorcas Leigh is a beautiful socialite from the United Kingdom with the power to control her hair's movement. Her first mission was to assist the Elongated Man in dismantling a bomb near London. Later on, she helped Wonder Woman find the Queen Bee. She later helps Jack O'Lantern in the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' and assists Superman in a confrontation with Toyman. Around this time she is part of a team of Guardians protecting Paris, France from an attacking force of Apellaxians. A nearby reporter states it is one of the largest alien groups spotted so far in the invasion. Much later, along with other Global Guardians, she was brainwashed by the Bialyan dictactor Queen Bee, who fools the team into thinking she was going to sponsor them as ... John Byrne (comics)
John Lindley Byrne (; born July 6, 1950) is a British-born American writer and artist of superhero comics. Since the mid-1970s, Byrne has worked on many major superheroes; with noted work on Marvel Comics' ''X-Men'', ''She-Hulk'' and ''Fantastic Four''. Byrne also facilitated the 1986 relaunch of DC Comics' ''Superman'' franchise, the first issue of which featured comics' first variant cover. Coming into the comics profession as penciller, inker, letterer and writer on his earliest work, Byrne began co-plotting the ''X-Men'' comics during his tenure on them, and launched his writing career in earnest with ''Fantastic Four'' (where he also served as penciler and inker). During the 1990s he produced a number of creator-owned works, including ''Next Men'' and ''Danger Unlimited''. He scripted the first issues of Mike Mignola's ''Hellboy'' series and produced a number of ''Star Trek comics'' for IDW Publishing. Ice (comics)
Ice (Tora Olafsdotter) is a fictional character, a comic book superheroine in publications from DC Comics. Kimberly Oja played Ice in the 1997 pilot film ''Justice League of America''. Publication history Created by Keith Giffen, J. M. DeMatteis, and Kevin Maguire, she first appeared in ''Justice League International'' #12 (April 1988). Ice is a separate character from Icemaiden, although the two are similar in appearance, group affiliation, and powers. When Icemaiden first appeared, she had blue skin and pointy ears, and was named Sigrid Nansen. When the character joined Justice League International, the comic book creators believed that her real name had never been given but were mistaken; it was revealed in the Global Guardians entry in ''Who's Who in the DC Universe''. After Ice was killed, the original Icemaiden (Sigrid Nansen) joined the Justice League. A backstory revealed that she was the first Icemaiden, who quit the Global Guardians when Tora appeared. Teen Titans
The Teen Titans are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, frequently in eponymous monthly series. As the group's name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes, many of whom have acted as sidekicks to DC's premier superheroes in the Justice League. The original team later becomes known as the Titans when the members age out of their teenage years, while the Teen Titans name is continued by subsequent generations of young heroes. First appearing in 1964 in ''The Brave and the Bold'' #54, the team was formed by Wally West, Kid Flash (Wally West), Dick Grayson, Robin (Dick Grayson), and Garth (comics), Aqualad (Garth) before adopting the name Teen Titans in issue 60 with the addition of Donna Troy, Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) to their ranks.
