Danchimah, Jr. (born July 21, 1969), professionally known as Godfrey, is an American comedian and actor who has appeared on BET, VH1, Comedy Central, and feature films, such as ''Soul Plane'', ''Original Gangstas'', ''Zoolander'', and ''Johnson Family Vacation''. Godfrey is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. It first appeared as a CDP in the 2020 Census with a population of 108. History The community was named after Dr. Ervine Godfrey, a pioneer settler. A post office called Godfrey was established in 1889, and remained in operation until 1965. The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place as the "Town of Godfrey" in 1906. The town's charter was dissolved in 1995. Godfrey is a small community located about 40 minutes' drive time north of Kingston, Ontario, Canada on Hwy. 38. It is named for Chester H. Godfrey, one of the original settlers, who donated land on which the village was built. While there is currently no specific village, it can be described as the area of Highway 38 that extends between the villages of Verona and Parham, as well as that portion of Westport Road extending to the hamlet of Burridge.
