God Of Thunder (EP)
''God of Thunder'' is an EP by White Zombie which was released in 1989 by Caroline Records. It was the band's first release with Jay Yuenger on guitar. EP contains "God of Thunder", originally a Kiss song from their 1976 album ''Destroyer'', and "Disaster Blaster II", a reworked version of "Disaster Blaster" from their 1989 album '' Make Them Die Slowly''. Music The release was a shift from the traditional heavy metal style of '' Make Them Die Slowly'' to the more groove-oriented sound of their next release '' La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1''. "Star Slammer", which was originally cut from the ''Make Them Die Slowly'' recording sessions, was also re-recorded around the time of this EP's release. However, it was left off the EP. White Zombie (band)
White Zombie was an American heavy metal music, heavy metal band that formed in 1985. Based in New York City, they started out as a noise rock band, releasing three EPs and one studio album in that style before changing to a heavy metal-oriented sound that broke them to the mainstream. The albums ''La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One'' (1992) and ''Astro-Creep: 2000'' (1995) established them as an influential act in groove metal and industrial metal, respectively. Their best-known songs include "Thunder Kiss '65", "Black Sunshine" and "More Human than Human". The group officially disbanded in 1998. VH1 Rock Honors
The VH1 Rock Honors were an annual ceremony paying homage to bands who influenced the sound of rock music. The events began in 2006, and the final event took place in 2008. The general format of each show is for modern bands to "pay tribute" to classic greats of the rock/metal world (by covering a song of theirs), after which time the artist being paid tribute to plays multiple songs. The 2006 and 2007 shows featured four inductees each, whereas the 2008 show featured one (The Who), albeit with multiple bands paying tribute. The shows were directed by David Mallet and produced by Paul Flattery and Greg Sills. Currently, VH1 has no plans for a CD or DVD release of any show. 2006 The ceremony was held at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas Valley, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on May 25, 2006.
