Go Round Football Club is an association football club based in Omoku, Rivers State, Nigeria. They play their home games at Krisdera Hotel Stadium, and currently compete in the NNL, the second-tier in Nigerian football. The team is owned by Felix A. Obuah and coached by Ngozi Elechi. The team's general manager as of March 2016 is Soni Uboh. History They were promoted to the Nigeria Premier League for the first time in 2017 on the last day of the league season. Federation Cup Go Round secured qualification to the 2016 national Federation Cup on 3 April 2016. They defeated Rivers United F.C. 4–2 in a penalty shoot-out after a 1–1 draw in the final of the state competition. Omoku
Omoku is a town in Rivers State, Nigeria with a population of about 200,000 people. It Is located in the southern part of the state, near the boundary with Delta State and Imo State. The Nigerian National League (formerly known as ''National Division 1'') is the second tier of club football in Nigeria. History From 1997-2011, the league has been split into 1A for Northern teams and 1B for southern teams. The top two from each division are promoted to the Nigerian Premier League the next season. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). The Tide (Nigeria)
''The Tide'' is a Nigerian daily newspaper. It is the most widely circulated newspaper published in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and one of Nigeria's major newspapers. Owned and funded by the state, ''The Tide'' began printing operations on 1 December 1971 and has a digital version. Fire On 20 July 2012, a fire broke out in ''The Tide''s main building, damaging significant portions of the establishment, including the General Manager's office, Credit Control Unit, Administration General office and Board Room. Although no injuries or deaths were reported, much of the company's equipment and staff documents were destroyed. According to a statement from the General Manager Mr. Celestine Ogolo, the fire started at around 2.00a.m and quickly took over the highest floor of the building where his office was stationed.
