__NOTOC__ Gmina Wschowa is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Wschowa County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. Its seat is the town of Wschowa, which lies approximately east of Zielona Góra. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2019 its total population is 21,162. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Przemęt Landscape Park. Villages Apart from the town of Wschowa, Gmina Wschowa contains the villages and settlements of Buczyna, Czerlejewo, Dębowa Łęka, Hetmanice, Kandlewo, Klucz, Konradowo, Łęgoń, Lgiń, Łysiny, Mały Bór, Nowa Wieś, Olbrachcice, Osowa Sień, Przyczyna Dolna, Przyczyna Górna, Pszczółkowo, Siedlnica, Tylewice, Wincentowo and Wygnańczyce. Gmina
The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' , from German ''Gemeinde'' meaning ''commune'') is the principal unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,477 gminas throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminas include cities and towns, with 302 among them constituting an independent urban gmina ( pl, gmina miejska) consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). The gmina has been the basic unit of territorial division in Poland since 1974, when it replaced the smaller gromada (cluster). Three or more gminas make up a higher level unit called powiat, except for those holding the status of a city with powiat rights. Osowa Sień
Osowa Sień (German: Röhrsdorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wschowa, within Wschowa County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It lies approximately north-east of Wschowa and east of Zielona Góra. Etymology The current name of the village is literally ''a house in the aspen'' and appears in Polish historical sources also as Ossowa Sień or Ossowasień.
