Its seat is the village of Koszęcin, which lies approximately south-east of Lubliniec and north of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2019 its total population is 11,842. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Upper Liswarta Forests Landscape Park. __NOTOC__ Gmina Herby is a rural gmina (municipality) in Lubliniec County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Herby, which lies approximately north-east of Lubliniec and north of the regional capital Katowice. Until 1993 it also included the area which now makes up Gmina Boronów. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2019 its total population is 6,808. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Upper Liswarta Forests Landscape Park. History For several centuries Herby lay on the border of Lesser Poland and Silesia. Therefore, since the 13th century, one part of it belonged to the Holy Roman Empire and overlapping to the Kingdom of Prussia. Rusinowice (German ''Ruschinowitz'') is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Koszęcin, within Lubliniec County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately west of Koszęcin, south-east of Lubliniec, and north-west of the regional capital Katowice. The village is located near to the Polish nature reserve Jeleniak Mikuliny.
