__NOTOC__ Gmina Domaniów is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Oława County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Domaniów, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Domaniów, which lies approximately west of Oława, and south of the regional capital Wrocław. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2019 its total population is 5,162. It is part of the larger Wrocław metropolitan area. The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' , from German ''Gemeinde'' meaning ''commune'') is the principal unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,477 gminas throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminas include cities and towns, with 302 among them constituting an independent urban gmina ( pl, gmina miejska) consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). Oława (pronounced , , szl, Oława) is a historic town in south-western Poland with 33,029 inhabitants (2019). Wierzbno is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Domaniów, within Oława County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.
