Glostrup FK is a Danish football club which plays in the Danish 2nd Division East. They play at Glostrup Stadion in Glostrup on Zealand, which has a capacity of 4,000. The club was formed in 2003 as a merger between Glostrup IF 32, Glostrup IC and Hvissinge FC. In 2009 the club was merged with Albertslund IF to form Boldklubberne Glostrup Albertslund. This merger was dissolved in 2015, and Glostrup FK reappeared in the Zealand Series Zealand Series ( da, Sjællandsserien, SS, Herre Sjællandsserien) is the highest division for men organized by the regional association DBU Sjælland and one of the sixth-highest divisions overall in the Danish football league system. Glostrup
Glostrup is a Danish town in Region Hovedstaden, forming one of the western suburbs of Copenhagen. It is the administrative seat of Glostrup Municipality, with an estimated population of 22,357 . During the 20th century Glostrup developed from a small railroad town into a modern middle class suburb. The population reached a peak during the 1970s flight from central Copenhagen, but has since stabilized. Danish 2nd Division East
The 2nd Division ( da, Danmarksturneringens 2. division or Herre-DM 2. division) is a semi-professional association football league for men and the third division in Denmark. It is organised by the Divisionsforeningen on behalf of the Danish Football Association (Danish FA; DBU) as part of the nation-wide Danmarksturneringen i fodbold (Herre-DM) and is positioned between the second-tier 1st Division and the fourth-tier Danish 3rd Division in the Danish football league system. Clubs in the league must meet certain criteria concerning appropriate facilities and finances. All of the 2nd Division clubs qualify for the proper rounds of the DBU Pokalen.
