''Glory'' is an instrumental album by Christian recording artist Michael W. Smith. Released in November 2011, the album is Smith's second instrumental album following ''Freedom (Michael W. Smith album), Freedom'' in 2000. The album was recorded with a 65-piece orchestra at Associated Independent Recording, AIR Studios Lyndhurst Hall in London and Wildwood Recording Studio in Nashville. Associated Independent Recording (AIR) is an independent recording company founded in London in 1965 by record producer Sir George Martin and his business partner John Burgess, after their departure from Parlophone. The studio complex was founded in 1969. Since then AIR has operated its own professional audio recording facilities, AIR Studios. Oxford Street, London (1970–1991) AIR's first facility opened on 6 October 1970. It was located on the fourth floor of 214 Oxford Street, at Oxford Circus, containing four studios and (later) a MIDI programming room. The facility included two large studios (one 58×32 feet, the other 30×28 feet) and two small ones. Reunion Records is a contemporary Christian record label based in Brentwood, Tennessee, that operates under the Provident Label Group. The label was founded in 1982, by Dan Harrell and Mike Blanton. History The label was formed by Amy Grant's managers (Harrell being her brother-in-law), with the label's original intent to give new artist Kathy Troccoli a home after being rejected by the major labels at the time. Piccolo Trumpet
The piccolo trumpet is the smallest member of the trumpet family, pitched one octave higher than the standard B trumpet. Most piccolo trumpets are built to play in either B or A, using a separate leadpipe for each key. The tubing in the B piccolo trumpet is one-half the length of that in a standard B trumpet. Piccolo trumpets in G, F, and even high C are also manufactured, but are rarer. The piccolo trumpet should not be confused with the pocket trumpet, which plays in the same pitch as the regular B trumpet. Geoff Foster is an English recording and mix engineer, best known for his work on numerous film scores. History Foster joined George Martin’s AIR Studios in 1987 after graduating from Brunel University with a 2.1 degree in Electronic Engineering. In 1994, shortly after AIR made its historic move to Lyndhurst Hall, Hampstead, he was made Chief Engineer.
