Gloria M Gutman
Gloria Margaret Gutman (born July 17, 1939 in Seattle, Washington, USA) is a gerontologist. She is a Professor Emerita at Simon Fraser University (SFU) Gerontology Department and a Research Associate in the Gerontology Research Centre. Early life and education Gutman completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology and English in 1961 at the University of British Columbia. She received her masters in Psychology of Aging in 1964 at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, and finished her Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental and Social Psychology in 1970 at the University of British Columbia. Career Gutman joined the faculty at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in 1980, where she established the Gerontology Research Centre and the Department of Gerontology. From 2001 until 2005, Gutman served as the 17th President of the International Association of Gerontology.
