Glogovac
Drenas, also known as Gllogoc or Glogovac, is a town and municipality in central Kosovo. As of the 2011 census, there were 6,143 people residing in Drenas and 58,531 in the municipality. History The municipality of Drenas was established before World War II. While the Yugoslavs were in power economic growth was low. Since 2000, there has been a gradual improvement in economic, agricultural, educational, medical and industrial growth. Drenica Massacres
The Drenica massacres ( sr, Масакри у Дреници, Masakri u Drenici, al, Masakra në Drenicë) were a series of killings of Kosovo Albanian civilians committed by Serbian special police forces in the Drenica region of central Kosovo. According to Human Rights Watch, abuses in the Drenica region during the Kosovo War 1998–1999 "were so widespread that a comprehensive description is beyond the scope of this report". Kosovo War
The Kosovo War was an armed conflict in Kosovo that started 28 February 1998 and lasted until 11 June 1999. It was fought by the forces of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (i.e. Serbia and Montenegro), which controlled Kosovo before the war, and the Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo Albanian rebel group known as the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). KB Feronikeli is a professional basketball club based in Glogovac, Kosovo. Its fan club is called Black Tigers. History They were created in 2018 and with wild card they got promoted from the Second League to First League where they completed the season on first place and they currently got a place on Kosovo Basketball Superleague. Dushkaja Mine
The Dushkaja mine is one of the largest nickel mines in Kosovo. The mine is located in Glogovac in Pristina district. A municipality ( sq, komuna, sr, / ) is the basic administrative division in Kosovo and constitutes the only level of power in local governance. There are 38 municipalities in Kosovo; 27 of which have an Albanian ethnic majority, 10 Serb and 1 Turkish.
