Global Intimacy
''Global Intimacy'' is the thirteenth studio album by Australian jazz pianist and composer Barney McAll. It was released worldwide on 7 December 2018. ''Global Intimacy'' was released under the pseudonym TQX, also known as TourniquetX. The album is inspired by the dystopian prophecies of TV drama Black Mirror, the Hollywood movie Her, and the very real spread of fake news via online networks. TQX wants to draw attention to this nightmarish situation, and wants to make everyone question the reliance on screens. The album cover is an image made by Banksy. However, TQX does not have the permission to use it. Track listing Critical reception ''NME'' described "The Day That You Moved On" as "mind bending" and "epic". Barney Mcall
Barney McAll (born Melbourne, Australia, 1966) is a jazz pianist and composer who lives in Melbourne, Australia. McAll joined Gary Bartz's band in 1997, and has also played with the Josh Roseman Unit, Fred Wesley and the JB's, Groove Collective, and Kurt Rosenwinkel's "Heartcore". He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, and studied in New York and Cuba. Barney is the brother of pianist John McAll. His ensembles include M.O.D.A.S, GRAFT, ASIO (Australian Symbiotic Improvisers Orbit), and Non-Compliance. His most recent ensemble is Precious Energy, which features members from Hiatus Kaiyote, Laneous, and Rita Satch. He released a political ''Black Mirror'' pop album in 2018 called ''Global Intimacy'' under the pseudonym TQX. Daniel Merriweather
Daniel Paul Merriweather (born 17 February 1982) is an Australian R&B recording artist. Merriweather's debut solo album, '' Love & War'', was released in June 2009. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number two. It was preceded by two singles, "Change" and "Red", which both made the top 10 on the related singles chart. 4ZZZ (pronounced "Four Triple Zed" or simply "Triple Zed") is an independent community radio station operating in Brisbane, Australia at the frequency 102.1 FM. As a community radio station, 4ZZZ is a member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). Ben Monder
Ben Monder (born May 24, 1962) is an American modern jazz guitarist. Biography Monder started playing guitar when he was eleven, after two years on violin. From 1979–84, he attended the Westchester Conservatory of Music, the University of Miami, and Queens College. One of his early jobs was in 1986 when he performed with Jack McDuff. In 1995 he recorded his debut album, ''Flux'', featuring drummer Jim Black and bassist Drew Gress. This was followed by the trio recording Dust (1996) and the quartet recording Excavation (2000) which added vocalist Theo Bleckmann. Cory McKay (born December 3, 1970), better known by his stage name Cormega, is an American rapper who attained notice when he was shouted out by Nas on his song "One Love", from the critically acclaimed 1994 album ''Illmatic''. The album was released during Cormega's time in prison, but the mention sparked his career and created anticipation for his own rapping. Josh Mease is an American songwriter living in Los Angeles, CA. He currently performs under the name Lapland. In 2009 Mease released his debut album, ''Wilderness'', through Frog Stand Records. Peter Aaron Ho (born February 3, 1971), known by the stage name Pete Miser, is an American Hip Hop rapper and producer living in New York City.
