Mircea Daneliuc
Mircea Daneliuc (; born 7 April 1943) is a Romanian film director, screenwriter and actor. He has directed 19 films since 1975. In 1993 his film '' The Conjugal Bed'' was entered into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. Two years later, his film '' The Snails' Senator'' was entered into the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. As one of the most prominent Romanian film directors of the 1980s, his films mixed realism and parables, enabling him to convey uncensored criticism towards the communist regime. Cezar Petrescu
Cezar Petrescu (; December 1, 1892–March 9, 1961) was a Romanian journalist, novelist, and children's writer. He was born in Hodora, Iași County, the son of Dimitrie Petrescu, an engineer and a teacher. After attending elementary school in his native village, he pursued his studies at high schools in Roman and Iași. From 1911 he attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Iași, graduating in 1915. Petrescu was inspired by the works of Honoré de Balzac, attempting to write a Romanian novel cycle that would mirror Balzac's ''La Comédie humaine''. He was also under the influence of the ''Sămănătorul'' critique of Romanian society. As a journalist, Petrescu made himself known as one of the editors of the magazine '' Gândirea'', alongside Nichifor Crainic and Lucian Blaga. The 57th Academy Awards were presented March 25, 1985, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Los Angeles. Jack Lemmon presided over the ceremonies. Tora Vasilescu (22 March 1951) is a Romanian actress. She was born in Tulcea and went to local School no. 5, and then went on to High School no. 2. She showed talent for acting since she was young and later studied at the Theater Institute in Bucharest. Vasilescu is married to Alain Vrdoljak. Previously she was married to the Romanian actor Ovidiu Moldovan and the Romanian film director Mircea Daneliuc. Ioan Fiscuteanu (; 19 November 1937 – 8 December 2007) was a Romanian theater and film actor. He last worked at the in Târgu Mureș. Fiscuteanu was born in Sânmihaiu de Câmpie, Bistrița-Năsăud County. He graduated from the I.L. Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts in Bucharest in 1962. This is a list of submissions to the 57th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole.
