Glenn O'Shea
Glenn O'Shea (born 14 June 1989, Swan Hill) is an Australian track cyclist who won the Omnium at the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. He was also a member of the Australian team that won silver in the team pursuit at the 2012 World Championships and the 2012 Olympics. O'Shea briefly quit cycling as an under-23 in 2010 after contracting a severe case of glandular fever. However, after a representing the Australia in team pursuit and omnium in both the Worlds and the Olympics in 2012, he joined the continental cycling team for 2013. A third place at Ronde de l'Oise, in which he celebrated a stage win and wore the leader's jersey led to interest from for whom he rode in the 2013 World Ports Classic. Jack Bobridge
Jack Bobridge (born 13 July 1989) is an Australian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2016. In 2019 he was convicted of drug dealing and sentenced to a four-year prison term. He admitted to using banned recreational drugs during his racing career, noting that he used cocaine in training leading up to major cycling events, including the Olympics. Career Bobridge's career combined both track and road cycling. In 2008, he was part of the Australian men's pursuit team that finished in fourth place at the Olympics, along with Graeme Brown, Mark Jamieson, Luke Roberts and Brad McGee. Luke Davison
Luke Davison (born 8 May 1990) is an Australian road and track cyclist who rides for Team Budget Forklifts. In 2012 he won the Goulburn to Sydney Classic. In 2014 he represented Australia at the Track World Championships and the Commonwealth Games and won gold in the team pursuit event at both meetings. On the road he won the Omloop der Kempen. Steele Von Hoff
Steele Von Hoff (born 31 December 1987) is an Australian road racing cyclist, who most recently rode for Australian amateur team InForm TMX MAKE. In 2018, Von Hoff won the gold medal in the road race at the Commonwealth Games. Career In 2011, Von Hoff and teammate Nathan Haas dominated Australia's domestic National Road Series. The two riders entered the 2011 Herald Sun Tour, a race featuring numerous UCI ProTeams. Von Hoff progressed from third on stage two to second on stage three; Haas won the general classification. The 2013 Tour of Britain was the tenth running of the current Tour of Britain and the 74th British tour in total. World Ports Classic
The World Ports Classic was a European two-day cycle race held between the port cities of Rotterdam and Antwerp, organized by ASO as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was held between 2012 and 2015. In all years except for 2013, the riders started in Rotterdam, finishing the first day in Antwerp before riding in the opposite direction on the second and final day. A leader's jersey was awarded to the winner of the first stage, to be defended on the second stage. Team Pursuit
The team pursuit is a track cycling event similar to the individual pursuit, except that two teams, each of up to four riders, compete, starting on opposite sides of the velodrome. Race format Both men's and women's events are competed over a distance of 4 km, by a team of 4 riders. Prior to the start of the 2012–13 season the women's event was competed over a distance of 3 km, by a team of 3 riders. As with the individual pursuit, the objective is to cover the distance in the fastest time or to catch and overtake the other team in a final. Riders in a team follow each other closely in line, drafting to minimize total drag, and periodically the lead rider (who works the hardest) peels off the front, swings up the track banking and rejoins the team at the rear. Omnium
An omnium (from Latin '' Omni'': of all, belonging to all) is a multiple race event in track cycling. Historically the omnium has had a variety of formats. In recent years, road racing has also adopted the term to describe multi-day races that feature the three primary road race events (time trial, mass start and criterium).
