Glenn Moore (rugby Union)
Glenn Moore (born 25 September 1959) is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player. He was the Black Ferns head coach from 2015 to 2022. He guided them to their fifth World Cup title in 2017 before stepping down in 2022. Moore played as a flanker for Mid Canterbury during the 1990s playing between 1991 and 1994. Coaching career Club & Provincial Moore captained Zingari-Richmond in Dunedin between 1991 and 1994 before he became their coach for the next three years. Moore joined North Otago for the 2000 season and by the end of the year had already made a big impact. In 2002 he coached the union to the final of the NPC 3rd Division which the side won and were promoted to the 2nd division. Moore was responsible for the rapid development of the North Otago provincial team, taking them from the third division into the second where they were semifinalists in his last two years. Takapuna, New Zealand
Takapuna is a suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. The suburb is situated at the beginning of a south-east-facing peninsula forming the northern side of the Waitematā Harbour. While very small in terms of population, it was the seat of the North Shore City Council before amalgamation into Auckland Council in 2010 and contains substantial shopping and entertainment areas, acting as a CBD for the North Shore. Wayne Smith (rugby Union)
Wayne Ross Smith (born 19 April 1957) is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player. He has won three Rugby World Cups; he was an assistant coach with New Zealand's men's team, the All Blacks, who won the 2011 and 2015 World Cups, and as head coach of the New Zealand women's team, the Black Ferns, won the 2021 World Cup, held in 2022. He was previously the head coach of New Zealand's men's team, the All Blacks (2000-2001), and assistant coach for two spells (2004–11 and 2015–2017). He is one of two coaches (with Steve Hansen) to win back-to-back World Cups. 2021 Rugby World Cup
The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first women's Rugby World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand, and by a country in the Southern Hemisphere. New Zealand were also the defending champions. The tournament introduced changes such as replacement of classification play-offs in the knockout stage with quarter-finals, and a longer scheduling window with at least five days between matches. Greg Smith (rugby Union, Born 1974)
Gregory James Smith (born 14 July 1974) is a former professional rugby union footballer, who played as a hooker. Career Smith was born and raised in New Zealand but he qualified to play for Fiji because his father was born there. He was first selected for Fiji by former coach Brad Johnstone on the recommendation of Waikato's John Boe. He toured the UK with the Fiji team in 1995 and he made his debut against Wales which Fiji lost by 21–22. He joined the Waikato Rugby Union after that and he made it into the Chiefs squad for the Super 12 competition. He played for the Chiefs for six years before leaving New Zealand and going to Europe to play for the Swansea club in Wales. Jamie Joseph
James Whitinui Joseph (born 21 November 1969) is a New Zealand-born Japanese former rugby union player and current rugby union coach. A flanker, Joseph represented Otago at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1992 to 1995, before representing Japan in 1999. Joseph, now head coach of the Japanese national side, has coached since his retirement, coming through the ranks in New Zealand before his first national stint.
