Glenn K. Rieth
Major General Glenn K. Rieth (born November 27, 1957 in Livingston, New Jersey) served as Adjutant General of New Jersey and the commander of the New Jersey Army and Air National Guard, which compose the New Jersey Department of Military Affairs. His service began in March 2002 and ended with his resignation in December 2011. Early life and career Raised in Livingston, New Jersey, Rieth graduated from Livingston High School in 1976. He played quarterback on the high school's football team. Rieth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from The Citadel, where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate. The United States Army War College (USAWC) is a U.S. Army educational institution in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on the 500-acre (2 km2) campus of the historic Carlisle Barracks. The United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC or, obsolete, USACGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, is a graduate school for United States Army and sister service officers, interagency representatives, and international military officers. The New Jersey Senate was established as the upper house of the New Jersey Legislature by the Constitution of 1844, replacing the Legislative Council. There are 40 legislative districts, representing districts with an average population of 232,225 (2020 figure). Each district has one senator and two members of the New Jersey General Assembly, the lower house of the legislature.
