Glen Downey
Glen Downey (born 20 September 1978) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender from 1997 to 2007. He notably played in the Football League for Grimsby Town, having also had spells with Hartlepool United, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor United, Gateshead, Shelbourne, Newry City, Scarborough and Worksop Town. Career Downey started his career as a trainee at Hartlepool United in 1997 but in three years with the club he had failed to make a single first team appearance and was released in 2000. He then moved into Non-League whilst having a brief loan spells with Bishop Auckland and Gateshead before moving to Ireland where he featured for Shelbourne and Newry City. He then joined Conference National side Scarborough in 2003. He had struggled to make an impact with The Seadogs, and following his release in 2004 he was surprisingly signed up for Football League Two side Grimsby Town by Russell Slade, his manager at Scarborough. Rob Jones (footballer Born 1979)
Robert William Jones (born 3 November 1979) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. Jones played as a defender having started his career with York City, before playing as a semi-professional for Whitby Town, Northallerton Town, Spennymoor United and Gateshead, he soon moved into the Football League in 2003 with Stockport County. After a brief loan spell with Macclesfield Town, Jones joined Grimsby Town, where his performances in the 2005–06 season earned him a move to Scottish Premier League club Hibernian. Jones captained Hibs as the club won the 2007 Scottish League Cup Final, in which he scored the opening goal. He moved to Scunthorpe United in 2009 for a club record fee, before signing for Sheffield Wednesday in 2011. Wearside
Wearside () is a built-up area in both Tyne and Wear and County Durham, Northern England. It is named after the River Wear which flows through it and traditionally all in the County of Durham. In the 2011 census, its official name was the Sunderland Built-up area since Sunderland is its largest part and most of the area is within the metropolitan borough of the City of Sunderland. The National League North, formerly Conference North, is a division of the National League in England, immediately below the National League division. Gary Steven Jones (born 10 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer and first team coach of Marine. As a player, he was a forward and makeshift midfielder from 1993 until 2008 for Tranmere Rovers, Nottingham Forest and Grimsby Town. In 2008 after retiring from the playing side of the game he has since held various positions on the coaching staff at Colwyn Bay, Chester, Stockport County and Altrincham.
