Glen Chadwick
Glen Alan Chadwick (born 17 October 1976) is a cyclist with both New Zealand and Australian citizenship. Career In 1998 Chadwick helped fellow kiwi Nathan Dahlberg setup the Marco Polo Cycling Team team. Glen Chadwick began his career in 2001 at the Belgian cycling team Landbouwkrediet–Colnago. In his first year, he came second in the general classification of the Tour de Liège. After two years he moved to Taiwan to ride for the Giant Asia Racing Team. Here he would win in his first year the Tour of Korea and the Tour of Beijing. In 2005 he rode for the Australian UCI Continental team Cyclingnews.com. After two years (2006, 2007) at the American UCI Professional Continental team Navigators Insurance he moved to Team Type 1 in 2008. During 2008 he won the Overall at the Vuelta Mexico Telmex. Ōpunake
Ōpunake is a small town on the southwest coast of Taranaki in New Zealand's North Island. It is located 45 kilometres southwest of New Plymouth. Rahotu is 16 km to the northwest. Cycling At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's Individual Road Race
The men's road race, a part of the cycling events at the 2008 Summer Olympics, took place on August 9 at the Urban Road Cycling Course in Beijing. It started at 11:00 China Standard Time (UTC+8), and was scheduled to last until 17:30 later that day. The course ran north across the heart of the Beijing metropolitan area, passing such landmarks as the Temple of Heaven, the Great Hall of the People, Tiananmen Square and the Beijing National Stadium. After rolling over relatively flat terrain for north of the Beijing city center, the route entered a decisive circuit encompassing seven loops on a section up and down the Badaling Pass, including ramps as steep as a 10 percent gradient. The race was won by the Spanish rider Samuel Sánchez in 6 hours, 23 minutes, 49 seconds, after a six-man breakaway group contested a sprint finish. The International Tour of Hellas is a road bicycle racing stage race. It consists of five stages and is usually held between April and May. The Tour de Korea is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in South Korea since 2000 as part of the UCI Asia Tour. It was rated by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as a 2.2 category race between 2005 and 2013, then promoted to 2.1 category in 2014. The race is organised by the Korea Cycling Federation.
