Luka Glavas ( hr, Luka Glavaš; born 20 January 1985) is a former Australian footballer. Biography Luka Glavas played for Hurstville Zagreb from 2003 to 2004, Melbourne Knights from 2004 to 2005 and Sydney United from 2005 to 2006. In the 2006 NSW Premier League Grand Final against Blacktown City Demons, Glavas scored all four goals in a 4–0 win for Sydney United. Glavas then joined Perth Glory in mid-2006. Glavas scored his first ever A-League goal against Sydney FC on 29 October 2006. However, he was generally disappointing during his time at Perth Glory. At the end of the 2006–2007 A-League season, Perth advised Glavas that he was one of five players to be released by the club. On 13 February 2007, Sydney FC announced Glavas had signed with the club and was included in the squad for the AFC Champions League 2007. Branimir Glavaš
Branimir Glavaš (born 23 September 1956 in Osijek) is a Croatian former major general and right-wing politician. He was one of the founders of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party which was in power in the 1990s and one of its key figures until a split in 2006. In 2009 he was found guilty of war crimes. Glavaš came to prominence in his home city of Osijek in eastern Croatia during the 1991–95 war of independence when he led its defense and attained the rank of major general in the Croatian Army. After the war he continued to exercise much influence as one of the leading members of Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). In 2005, Glavaš was charged with war crimes at a Croatian court; he left HDZ and founded a new party – the Croatian Democratic Assembly of Slavonia and Baranja (HDSSB). Marin Glavaš (born 17 March 1992) is a Croatian professional Football player, footballer who plays as a Midfielder#Winger, winger, currently playing for UFC Markt Allhau in the Austrian fourth tier-Landesliga Burgenland, Burgenlandliga. Club career Glavaš, originally from Imotski, moved to NK Osijek, Osijek aged 15. Radoslav Glavaš (senior)
Radoslav Glavaš (28 November 1867 – 20 July 1913) was a Herzegovinian Croat Franciscan, writer and cultural worker. From 1904 he was a secretary of Bishop Paškal Buconjić of Mostar-Duvno and Trebinje-Mrkan and from 1910 he served as a general vicar the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno. He used his position and influence to enrich and promote the interests of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina. As a writer, he defended the interests of the Franciscans. Early life Glavaš was born in Drinovci near Grude in Herzegovina Eyalet of the Ottoman Empire. He studied philosophy and theology in Rome, Perugia and Innsbruck. In 1890 Glavaš was ordained a priest. In 1893 he became a professor of theology in Assisi. He taught theology at the seminaries in Franciscan friaries in Široki Brijeg and Mostar. Radoslav Glavaš (junior)
Radoslav Glavaš (29 October 1909 – June 1945) was a Herzegovinian Franciscan who headed the Department of Religion of the Ministry of Justice and Religion of the fascist Independent State of Croatia during World War II. A native of Drinovci near Grude in Herzegovina, Glavaš became a member of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina in 1928. After finishing his studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, he taught the Croatian language and literature at the Franciscan gymnasium in Široki Brijeg. Known as a nationalist, he supported the puppet Independent State of Croatia (NDH), established by Nazi Germany and Italy in 1941. He became head of the Department of Religion at the Ministry of Justice and Religion of the NDH immediately after the establishment of the puppet state in May 1941 and held that post until the dissolution of the NDH in May 1945. Stanoje Stamatović ( sr-cyr, Станоје Стаматовић), known as Stanoje Glavaš (Станоје Главаш; 21 February 1763 – 15 February 1815) was a Serbian hajduk and hero in the First Serbian Uprising. Life Glavaš was born in 1763 in the village of Glibovac, near Smederevska Palanka, at the time part of the Sanjak of Smederevo, Ottoman Empire. In his youth, he was a gentleman's tailor in Smederevska Palanka. He never married, which was unusual for small town business owners of the time in Serbia. For a time, he shared a house with a certain other confirmed bachelor, originally from Negotin, one Borisav Petrović, and they had a joint enterprise for constructing adobe houses.
