Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub
Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub is a football club based in Gladsaxe Municipality, Denmark. The club currently competes in the Series 1. History Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub is a merger between Boldklubben Hero and Gladsaxe Boldklub in 1979, but the latter was formed (as Søborg Boldklub) on 11 January 1923. In the early 1980s, Gladsaxe-Hero was regarded as one of Zealand's best football youth academies, but in the 1988–89 season, Gladsaxe-Hero moved out of the 3rd division, starting a long decline for the club with five relegations in six seasons. Both Peter Schmeichel and Dennis Rommedahl, the top two all-time most-capped players in Danish history, have played for the clubs youth academy. In 2008, Gladsaxe-Hero signed a partnership agreement with Danish top flight side Brøndby. In 2021, the club won the Zealand championship in series 1, with a 2–1 victory over Herfølge, but moved down from the Zealand series to series 1 last season. Gladsaxe Municipality
Gladsaxe Kommune is a municipality (Danish, ''Commune (subnational entity), kommune'') near Copenhagen in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Denmark), Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a total population of 69,681 (2019). Series 1 (Danish Football)
Series 1 ( da, Serie 1) is the seventh level in the league system of Danish football. The division is organized by the regional branches of the Danish Football Association (DBU). The division has changed its name on numerous occasions. It has previously been known as B-rækken (up until 1921–22) and Mellemrækken (1947–1984), before settling with the current name of ''Serie 1'' in 1985. The competition The season starts in the spring and ends in the fall, and there is promotion and relegation after each half season. Each club in the groups play the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents. The top team in each Series 1 group is promoted to fifth-tier regional leagues: Copenhagen Series, Funen Series, Jutland Series or Zealand Series. Zealand
Zealand ( da, Sjælland ) at 7,031 km2 is the largest and most populous island in Denmark proper (thus excluding Greenland and Disko Island, which are larger in size). Dennis Rommedahl
Dennis Rommedahl (; born 22 July 1978) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a right winger. The second-most capped national player for Denmark, he appeared in 126 matches and scored 21 goals for his country, and was a member of the Danish squads at the 2002 World Cup, Euro 2004, the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012. He was nominated for Danish Footballer of the Year in 2007, but did not win the award until 2010. Club career Rommedahl was born in the Bispebjerg borough of Copenhagen. Henrik Herbert Agerbeck (born 10 September 1956), known as Henrik Agerbeck, is a Danish former football player in the striker position.
