The seventh and penultimate series of '' Gladiators'' aired in the UK from 5 September to 12 December 1998. Gladiators Episodes : John Anderson disqualified Cassius from the Gauntlet for shoving Ace having already got past him. : Maria scored five points at first, but one of Maria's fans challenged that Siren's chest plate was hit a second time in Dogfight, even though there was no signal. The fans urged a video review. After review, John Anderson declared the chest plate was hit a second time, and therefore Maria was awarded an additional five points. Ten points for this event. : Ross was issued a yellow card for shoving Vulcan despite his instigation. : Pauline Shirt injured her collarbone after scoring five points on Hang Tough. She was forced to retire from the competition and sent to the hospital. Tara Leyden was the fastest loser from the heats and therefore the substitute contender. Eva Ulrika Jonsson (born 16 August 1967) is a Swedish-British television presenter and model. Jennifer Elaine "Jenny" Stoute (born 16 April 1965) is female English former sprinter. She represented Great Britain at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, where she won a bronze medal in the 4x400 metres relay. The Broadcasters Audience Research Board (BARB) is a British organisation that compiles audience measurement and television ratings in the United Kingdom. It was created in 1981 to replace two previous systems whereby ITV ratings were compiled by JICTAR (Joint Industry Committee for Television Audience Research), whilst the BBC did their own audience research. BARB is jointly owned by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising. Participating viewers have a box on top of their TV sets which tracks the programmes they watch. Michael Van Wijk (born 30 September 1952) is an Indian-born English bodybuilder, professional sportsperson, actor and TV presenter. He is most well known for his role as Wolf on British TV endurance sports game show ''Gladiators'', a role he held for all its eight series (1992–1999). Suzanne Cox-Roberts (born 19 March 1972) is an English aerobic instructor. She was formerly a gladiator in the UK television show ''Gladiators'', in which she went by the name Vogue. Jane Grace Isoken Omorogbe (born 20 September 1971) is a British model and actress, perhaps best known as Rio on ITVs ''Gladiators''; she is a TV presenter and motorcycling journalist. Jeremy Clayton Guscott (born 7 July 1965) is a British former rugby union outside centre who played for Bath, England and the British and Irish Lions. He also appeared for England on the wing.
