Gladiators (Australian Series 3)
The third series of ''Gladiators'' began airing on Seven Network on 13 April 1996. Twenty four episodes were filmed at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in December 1995, including three three-part specials. The series was once again presented by Kimberley Joseph and Mike Hammond with Tony Schibeci as commentator, Mike Whitney as referee, John Forsyth as assistant referee and the Kix cheerleaders performed in the background of the events. Forsyth also acted as a stand-in referee in Quarter Finals 1 and 2 after Mike Whitney caught a stomach bug virus, and Forsyth's position as assistant referee was taken over by Neil Waldron because of this. The third series suffered a slight decline in viewing figures and due to an increase in costs, production on the fourth series was halted until the revival in 2008. Kimberley Joseph
Kimberley Joseph (born August 30, 1973) is a Canadian Australian actress who is based in the United States. Joseph was born in Canada, brought up on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Gold Coast in Australia and educated in Switzerland. After returning to Australia, she began a degree at Bond University but dropped out at the age of 19 when she was cast in the soap opera ''Paradise Beach''. She had no formal acting training but appeared in the soap for the 18 months it was produced. After ''Paradise Beach'' ended, she had casual work on ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' before co-hosting the popular Seven Network series ''Gladiators (Australian TV series), Gladiators''. Jimmy Maher
James Patrick Maher (born 27 February 1974) is an Australian former cricketer, who played One Day Internationals. He is "an attractive left-handed batsman with a clumping cover-drive". Maher competed in the Gladiator Team Sports Challenge in 1995. Domestic career The following two seasons were a prolific pair for Maher playing for Queensland, a time which included a period at Glamorgan. In 2001–02, he became the first batsman to reach 1000 runs in the Pura Cup. On 25 February 2007, Maher was named Man of the Match in the Ford Rangers Cup Final against the Victorian Bushrangers after making 108 from 133 balls. The Queensland Bulls went on to win the match by 21 runs. It was the third time that he had scored a century for Queensland in a One Day domestic final. The Australia national women's water polo team represents Australia in women's international water polo competitions and is controlled by Water Polo Australia. It was one of the most successful women's water polo teams in the world. It is currently organised into the Asia/Oceania regional group. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Through the AFL Commission, the AFL also serves as the sport's governing body and is responsible for controlling the laws of the game. Michael Foley (born 7 June 1967 in Sydney, Australia) is a former hooker for the Australia national rugby union team and former Super Rugby head coach of the Western Force and New South Wales Waratahs teams. Foley competed in the Gladiator Individual Sports Athletes Challenge in 1995. Playing career A product of St Patrick's College, Strathfield, he represented New South Wales Schoolboys, Australian Schoolboys and NSW U21s. Jason Croker (born 10 March 1973) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer. An Australian international and New South Wales State of Origin representative utility player, he previously played club football in the NRL for the Canberra Raiders, with whom he won the 1994 Winfield Cup and set club records for both highest total games and tries.
