Quévy (; pcd, Kévi) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. On 1 January 2006, Quévy had a total population of 7,734. The total area is 65.16 km² which gives a population density of 119 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Asquillies, Aulnois, Blaregnies, Bougnies, Genly, Givry, Gœgnies-Chaussée, Havay, Quévy-le-Grand, and Quévy-le-Petit. Givry, Saône-et-Loire
Givry () is a commune in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. Geography Located from Chalon-sur-Saône, Givry is a small town, famous for its listed monuments and its wines. It is surrounded on the southeast by the commune's forest, and on the east by vineyards; the commune of Givry also includes three hamlets: Cortiambles, Poncey and Russilly. History Givry's foundation dates back to the Gallo-Roman era. Its fortifications were built in the Middle Ages. As of the 18th century, several architectural works were established. Givry's AOC wine makes part of the Côte Chalonnaise wealth. It is said that Givry wine was French king Henry IV's favorite. Anne d'Escars de Givry (29 March 1546 – 19 April 1612) was a French Benedictine churchman, supporter of the ''Ligue'', and Cardinal. Biography He was born in Paris, the son of Jacques de Pérusse, Seigneur d'Escars and Françoise de Longwy, Dame de Pagny and de Mirebeau. He became bishop of Lisieux in 1584. Claude de Longwy de Givry (1481–1561) was a French bishop and Cardinal (Catholicism), Cardinal, from an aristocratic background. He was the son of Philippe de Longuy, Seigneur de Givry and Jeanne de Beautremont, Dame de Mirabeau. He had four brothers: Jean de Longuy, Sieur de Givry and Baron de Mirabeau (who married Jeanne d'Angoulême, Jeanne d'Orleans, natural sister of Francis I of France, King Francis I), Christophe de Longuy, Antoine de Longuy, and Étienne de Longuy. Claude's aunt Jeanne had married Guy de la Baume, Count de Montrevel, and one of their sons was Cardinal Pierre de la Baume (1539-1544), Prince and Bishop of Geneva (1522-1543).
