Giuseppe Poeta
Giuseppe "Peppe" Poeta (born September 12, 1985) is an Italian former professional basketball player. He played the point guard position. Professional career Poeta joined local club Pallacanestro Salerno in the lower divisions, playing 5 seasons before joining Prima Veroli of the third division. With Veroli he scored 51 points in a 7 November 2005 114-105 victory against Forlì. He moved to first division Serie A club Teramo Basket in 2006. During the 2008-09 season he led the team, coached by former Salerno coach Andrea Capobianco , to the league play-offs. He then joined Virtus Bologna where he had two successful seasons, reaching the play-offs twice and being appointed captain. However after a difficult 2012-13 season where the team finished two places above last place the management decided to change the side, appointing young Matteo Imbrò as the starting point guard. Donosti Gipuzkoa Basket 2001 Saskibaloi Kirol Elkartea Sociedad Anónima Deportiva, S.A.D., commonly known as Gipuzkoa Basket and as Acunsa GBC for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa, Spain. The team plays in the Liga Española de Baloncesto, LEB Oro. Their home arena is Plaza de Toros de Illumbe, Donostia Arena. History Gipuzkoa Basket started competing in LEB Plata, LEB 2, third tier. After a first season where the club finished in 11th position out of sixteen teams, it ceased in activity until 2004, when it came back to LEB 2. Thomas Heurtel (; born 10 April 1989) is a French professional basketball player who plays for Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League. Standing at , he plays at the point guard position. Professional career France (2007–2010) Heurtel rose through the ranks at the French club Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez, and he played in the senior men's first team of the club for two seasons. The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The 2012–13 Lega Basket Serie A was the 91st season of the Lega Basket Serie A, the top level basketball league in Italy. The season started 26 September 2012 and ended on 19 June 2013.
