Giulio Prosperetti
Giulio Prosperetti (born 7 December 1946) is an Italian judge and labour law professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He has been Judge of the Constitutional Court of Italy since 21 December 2015. Career Prosperetti was born in Perugia on 7 December 1946. In 1971 he obtained a degree in Jurisprudence under Giuseppe Guarino. He worked as a professor of labour law between 1985 and 1994 at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. Since 1994 he has been a professor of labour law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Prosperetti has been a judge at the Court of Appeal of Vatican City for more than twenty years. On 16 December 2015, the Italian Parliament elected three candidates to the Constitutional Court of Italy: Augusto Barbera, Franco Modugno and Prosperetti. Franco Modugno
Franco Modugno (born 3 May 1938) is an Italian judge and former law professor at the Sapienza University of Rome. He has been Judge of the Constitutional Court of Italy since 21 December 2015. Career Modugno was born in Rome on 3 May 1938. He obtained a degree in Jurisprudence from the Sapienza University of Rome in 1961. Six years later Modugno started as lecturer of constitutional law at the University of Teramo. He held similar positions at the University of Macerata from 1972 to 1973 and the University of Salerno from 1973 to 1975. In 1975 he started as a professor of Public Law at the Sapienza University and later also held a chair in constitutional law. On 25 November, the Italian Parliament failed to elect three candidates to the Constitutional Court; Modugno obtained 140 votes, primarily coming from the Five Star Movement. The Order of Merit of the Italian Republic ( it, Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana) is the senior Italian order of merit. It was established in 1951 by the second President of the Italian Republic, Luigi Einaudi. The highest-ranking honour of the Republic, it is awarded for "merit acquired by the nation" in the fields of literature, the arts, economy, public service, and social, philanthropic and humanitarian activities and for long and conspicuous service in civilian and military careers. Augusto Barbera
Augusto Antonio Barbera (born 25 June 1938) is an Italian judge and former constitutional law professor at the University of Bologna. In his political career he was member of the Chamber of Deputies between 1976 and 1994 for the Italian Communist Party and later the Democratic Party of the Left. In 1993 he served shortly as Minister without portfolio for relations with Parliament in the government of Prime Minister Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. Barbera has been Judge of the Constitutional Court of Italy since 21 December 2015. Career Barbera was born in Aidone on 25 June 1938. He obtained a degree in Jurisprudence with a specialization in constitutional law. Between 1967 and 1969 he worked abroad as a researcher at the universities of Karlsruhe and Heidelberg.
