2022 Doha Diamond League
The 2022 Doha Diamond League, officially the Ooredoo Doha Meeting, was the 24th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Doha, Qatar. Held on 13 May 2022 at the Suheim bin Hamad Stadium, it was the opening day for the 2022 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. The pole vault competition was held one day after the other events, on 14 May. The meeting was characterized by strong winds exceeeding , preventing fast times in most events 400 m and longer. Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon is an annual half marathon held in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. History The first event, in 2007, saw Samuel Wanjiru breaking the world record, but Wanjiru himself set a new world record only a month later in another race. In the 2009 event Patrick Makau won by running what was, at the time, the second fastest half marathon ever. Yalemzerf Yehualaw Densa (born 3 August 1999) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner. She won the 2022 London Marathon. Yehualaw is the current world record holder in the 10 kilometres road race, sits second on the world all-time list at the half marathon and tenth on the respective world all-time list for the marathon. Yehualaw recorded the fastest ever women's marathon debut at the time at the 2022 Hamburg Marathon. 2019 World Championships In Athletics
The 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships () was the seventeenth edition of the biennial, global athletics competition organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), since renamed World Athletics. Ejgayehu Taye (born 10 February 2000) is an Ethiopian Olympic long-distance runner. She won the bronze medal for the 3000 metres at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Taye is the current world record holder in the 5 km road race. Beatrice Chebet (born 5 March 2000) is a Kenyan long-distance runner. In 2022, she won the silver medal in the 5000 metres at the World Championships, and became Commonwealth, African and Diamond League champion. Chebet claimed the gold medal for the women's senior race at the 2023 World Cross Country Championships. The Association of Road Racing Statisticians is an independent, non-profit organization that collects, analyzes, and publishes statistics regarding road running races.
