Girl Spirit
''Girl Spirit'' () is a South Korean reality television singing competition that premiered on cable network JTBC on July 19, 2016. The aim of the show is to highlight the talents of the vocalists of twelve lesser-known girl groups that debuted in recent years. It airs every Tuesday at 22:50 (KST). The contestants are ranked at the end of every episode based on their performances, and their scores will be accumulated over the course of twelve weeks to determine the top four contestants, two from each team. Each week select contestants' songs will be released digitally. The winner will receive a brand new car and the runner-up will get a family vacation to Saipan; both the winner's and the runner-up's final songs will also be released digitally. Format ''Girl Spirit'' centers around twelve girl group vocalists who have yet to achieve mainstream success. Five "gurus" will judge their performances every week, as well as give them advice. CLC (band)
CLC (, an acronym for CrystaL Clear) was a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment. The group's final lineup was composed of Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Yeeun and Eunbin. Members Elkie and Sorn departed in 2021. Their debut EP ''First Love'' was released on March 19, 2015, with five group members: Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn and Yeeun. The remaining two members, Elkie and Eunbin, were added to the group with the release of their third EP, '' Refresh'', on February 29, 2016, though Eunbin did not participate in official promotions until the release of their fourth EP, '' Nu.Clear,'' in May 2016. Laboum
Laboum (; stylized as LABOUM) is a South Korean girl group currently under Interpark Music Plus. They debuted in 2014 under NH Media and Nega Network's joint venture Global H. Their name is taken from the French term meaning "The Party". Jeong So-yeon (; born May 5, 1994), known mononymously as Soyeon, is a South Korean singer. She debuted in 2014 as the vocalist of the South Korean girl group Laboum. In 2022, she became a member of the project supergroup WSG Wannabe. Early life and education Jeong So-yeon was born in Gwangju on May 4, 1994. She attended Gwangju Cultural Middle School. Bestie (, stylized as BESTie) was a South Korean girl group formed by YNB Entertainment. They released their debut single, "Pitapat", in July 2013. The group was composed of four members, Hyeyeon, Uji, Dahye and Haeryung. While Uji and Dahye parted their ways with YNB Entertainment in September 2017, the group disbanded in 2018 following the news of Hyeyeon joining Star Entertainment. Ladies' Code () is a South Korean girl group formed by Polaris Entertainment in 2013. The group's original lineup consisted of leader Ashley and members RiSe, EunB, Sojung, and Zuny. They made their debut with the mini-album '' Code#01'' and the lead track "Bad Girl", which were released on March 7, 2013. On September 3, 2014, the group was involved in a car crash that resulted in the deaths of EunB and Rise. Ladies' Code returned as a trio in February 2016 with the extended play '' Myst3ry''. Lee So-jung (born September 3, 1993), better known by the mononym Sojung, is a South Korean singer. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Ladies' Code. Sojung made her debut as a soloist in March 2017 with single "Better Than Me". Early life Lee was born on September 3, 1993, in Wonju, Gangwon Province, South Korea. She attended Dankook University, where she majored in modern music. Fiestar ( ko, 피에스타) was a South Korean girl group formed by Kakao M. Before the group's debut, they released a duet with label mate IU titled “Sea of Moonlight” for LOEN Entertainment's collective label album. The track ended up being a domestic success and entered the top ten of the Gaon Digital Chart, earning the group attention before their debut. The group officially debuted on August 31, 2012 with the single album "Vista" and six members: Cao Lu, Jei, Linzy, Hyemi, Cheska and Yezi. The group released their second single album " We Don't Stop" on November 9, this time to mixed reviews. On March 20, 2014, member Cheska officially left the group. Spica (, stylized as SPICA) was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under B2M Entertainment. The group consists of Kim Boa, Park Sihyun, Park Narae, Yang Jiwon and Kim Bohyung. Their pre-debut single "Doggedly" was released on January 10, 2012, followed by their debut mini-album, '' Russian Roulette'', on February 8, 2012. They officially disbanded on February 6, 2017, though Bohyung has confirmed a possible reunion in the future. Pristin (; stylized as PRISTIN and formerly known as Pledis Girlz) was a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2016. The group was composed of ten members: Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung, Yehana, Sungyeon, Xiyeon and Kyla. WJSN (; ), also known as Cosmic Girls, is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment.
