Chae Ri-na (; born Bak Hyeon-ju, ; February 3, 1978) is a South Korean singer. She debuted in 1995 as a member of the best-selling co-ed vocal group Roo'ra. Yuri (Korean Singer)
Cha Hyun-ok ( ko, 차현옥; born December 24, 1976), known by her stage name Yuri ( ko, 유리), is a South Korean pop singer. Debuting as a singer with Cool (쿨), she later formed Girl Friends with best friend Chae Ri-na after the former group's breakup in 2005. Yuri has since regrouped with Cool. Career Yuri was not an original member of Cool, but was brought in to replace Yoo Chae-yeong for the group's second album. The band's lineup stayed the same from the second album onwards. In 2004, though, Cool was reportedly in danger of breaking up due to tensions within the band. The group eventually broke up after the release of their tenth album in 2005. A year after the breakup, Yuri announced that she would be joining with close friend Chae Ri-na to become a musical duo, named Girl Friends. Becoming friends in the 1990s while performing with their respective groups, the two had been discussing a possible joint project for 10 years.

Cool (South Korean Band)
Cool () was a South Korean co-ed K-pop group that debuted in 1994. History They debuted in 1994 as "Why You Wanted to Be". In the 1st album, Kim Sung-soo, Lee Jae-hoon, Yu Chae-young and Choi Jun-myung were four, but from the second album, Yoo Chae-young and Choi Jun-myeong withdrew and while female member Yuri joined them, Kim Sung-soo and Lee Jae-hoon together acted as a three-member group. Vocal Lee Jae-hoon's steady singing skills, fun songs and images continued to be popular. Cool's songs were simple and easy to sing, so it was easy for the general public to love it. Roo'ra (Hangul: 룰라) was a co-ed hip hop and dance-pop vocal group from South Korea who was one of the country's most popular musical acts of the 1990s. The group debuted in 1994 with the hit album ''Roots of Reggae''. Their second album, ''The Angel Who Lost Wings'' (1995), sold 1 million copies in record time. DIVA () was a South Korean hip-hop girl group that debuted in 1997 with members Chae Ri-na, Vicky, and Ji Ni. After the release of the group's first two albums, ''Funky Diva'' (1997) and ''Snappy Diva'' (1998), Ji Ni left the group and was replaced by new member Lee Min Kyoung. After the release of the group's third album ''Millennium'' (1999), Chae Ri-na left the group and Ji Ni re-joined.
