Giri (film)
''Giri'' is a 2004 Indian Tamil language action comedy film written and directed by Sundar C, starring Arjun in the lead role, with Ramya, Reema Sen, Devayani, Vadivelu, and Prakash Raj among others enacting supporting roles. The film was released on 1 October 2004. The movie was remade in Kannada in 2020 as '' Shivarjuna'' starring his nephew Chiranjeevi Sarja. This film is also noted to be actress Khushbu's productional debut in her production company house, Avni Cinemax. The film was dubbed into Telugu under the same name. Plot Two villages, Veerapandi Puram and Soolachery, on either side of a river are always feuding, as the headmen Veerasamy (Vinu Chakravarthy) and Sethupathy (FEFSI Vijayan) have personal enmity. Vinayagar Sundar Vel (born 21 January 1966), known professionally as Sundar C., is an Indian film director, actor and producer. He has directed over 34 films in Tamil language, Tamil and acted in 17 movies as the protagonist. Gowtham Sundararajan is an Indian actor and choreographer who has worked on Tamil-language films and in television dramas. Manikka Vinayagam (10 December 1943 – 26 December 2021) was an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang for South Indian language films and acted in several Tamil films as a character artist. He was the son of the dancer Vazhuvoor B. Ramiah Pillai. His uncle and music guru was the singer C. S. Jayaraman. Ponnambalam (born 11 November 1963) is an Indian actor and stuntman who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. He is best known for playing antagonistic roles in Indian films during the 1990s, notably appearing in films such as '' Nattamai'' (1994), '' Muthu'' (1995) and ''Amarkalam'' (1999).
