Giraldilla International
The Giraldilla International is the name of an international badminton tournament, which is organized as an open championship of Cuba. The competition is held annually since 2000 and is now a young supraregional Badminton Championship. The organizer was the Cuban Badminton Association (''Federación Cubana de Badminton'') in cooperation with the Badminton Pan Am continental federation. At 2013, the tournament was classified as "Future Series" by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), since the fifteenth event in March 2014 Giraldilla classified as "International Series" level, which held on to win the tournament before $1,700 now $2,500 points for the world ranking will be credited. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side. The shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal matches) plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other sports. is a Japanese retired badminton player from Tonami Transportation badminton team. He competed at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics. He also competed in four Asian Games from 2002 to 2014. Frédéric Mawet
Frédéric Mawet (born 30 July 1977) is a Belgian badminton player. He won eight times national titles in the men's doubles event partnered with Wouter Claes. In 2008, he became a junior coach in Ligue Francophone Belge de Badminton (LFBB). As a coach, he also brought Yuhan and Lianne Tan to compete at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Wouter Claes
Wouter Claes (born 28 October 1975 in Leuven, Belgium) is a male left-handed Belgian badminton player. He won 20 Belgian titles, 10 in men's doubles with Fréderic Mawet and Ruud Kuijten, 10 in mixed doubles with Manon Albinus, Corina Herrle and Nathalie Descamps. He won 20 Flemish Championships in singles, men's doubles with Nico Claes and Steven Delsaert and mixed doubles with Nathalie Descamps and Janne Elst. He won a bronze medal in mixed doubles (together with partner Descamps) during the 2010 European Badminton Championships. This was the first Belgian medal ever won at a European Championship. Huaiwen Xu (; born 2 August 1975) is a German badminton player.
