Giovanni Solinas
Giovanni Solinas, also known as Gianni Solinas, is an Italian football manager. He has managed teams in Algeria, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. He is the current manager of Saudi Arabian club Al-Najma. Managerial career Solinas obtained his coaching license UEFA A and UEFA Pro Licence with the Italian Football Federation at the prestigious school of Italian coaches FIGC settore tecnico Coverciano. He Coached several clubs in Algeria including ES Sétif, CR Belouizdad, JSM Bejaia and MC Oran. He also managed Al-Faisaly FC (Harmah) in Saudi Arabia. ES Sétif In 2010, Solinas moved to Africa where he was appointed as head coach of Algerian club ES Sétif when the president of the club Abdelhakim Serrar, offered him the managerial role. ''Il Centro Tecnico Federale di Coverciano'', is the central training ground and technical headquarters of the Italian Football Federation, located in the Coverciano ''quartiere'' of Florence, Italy. History The Center was founded by Luigi Ridolfi and Dante Berretti and designed by architects Francesco Tiezzi and Arnaldo Innocenti. The UNAF Club Cup ( ar, كأس إتحاد شمال إفريقيا للأندية) is a tournament designed by the Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF) that puts together the top three best finishers of the domestic leagues and the two finalists of the domestic cups around North Africa. The North African Cup Winners Cup was a competition organised by the Federation of North African Football, that contains the winners of the domestic cups around North Africa. The competition contains representatives from Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya and Egypt. History The competition was founded along with the North African Cup of Champions in order to create a sense of competitiveness in the region. Tunisian club Esperance Sportive de Tunis claimed the inaugural title, defeating Algerian club JSM Béjaïa 2-1 over two legs. On 2011 The competition was cancelled because the Arab Spring revolutions.
