Giovanni Scalise
John Scalise (born Giovanni Scalise, 1900, Castelvetrano, Sicily – May 7, 1929, Chicago) was an American organized crime figure of the early 20th century and, with partner Albert Anselmi, was one of the Chicago Outfit's most successful hitmen in Prohibition-era Chicago. Prohibition and the Bootleg Wars Shortly after he began working for the Gennas, Scalise met Albert Anselmi, who became his mentor and best friend. Both men remain, to this day, the prime suspects in the November 1924 murder of Dean O'Banion, boss of Chicago's North Side Gang. Soon after O'Banion's murder, Scalise and Anselmi secretly defected from the Gennas to Al Capone's Chicago Outfit. On June 13, 1925, Anselmi and Scalise, along with Mike Genna, ambushed North Siders George "Bugs" Moran and Vincent "The Schemer" Drucci in The Patch, shooting up their car with shotguns and wounding Drucci. Albert Tocco
Albert "Caesar" Tocco (August 9, 1929 – September 21, 2005), was a high-ranking member of the Chicago Outfit during the 1970s and 1980s. He was the mob boss of Chicago Heights, the south suburbs, and parts of Northern Indiana. Tocco was described as second-in-command to Alfred Pilotto, leader of the Chicago Heights Street Crew. He allegedly played a part in the murder of William Dauber, and James "Jimmy The Bomber" Catuara. He would later run the street crew in his own right upon Pilotto's retirement. He, along with Albert "Nicky" Guzzino, Albert "Chicky" Roviaro and Dominick Palermo, is alleged to have botched the burial of Michael and Tony Spilotro. This resulted in him hiding abroad for a while before getting word that Joseph Ferriola forgave him. Joseph Scalise
Joseph Jerome "Jerry" Scalise (born December 25, 1937) is a Chicago mobster and a high-ranking member of the Chicago Outfit criminal organization. He is most known for stealing the Marlborough diamond in London in 1980, and also for serving as a technical advisor on the 2009 film '' Public Enemies''. On August 29, 2012, Scalise was sentenced in a Chicago federal court to 106 months in prison after pleading guilty in January 2012 to racketeering. Early years In March 1961, the ''Chicago Tribune'' reported that Scalise had been indicted on a larceny charge involving four stolen automobiles. Giuseppe "Joe" Aiello (; September 27, 1890 – October 23, 1930) was a Sicilians, Sicilian bootlegger and organized crime leader in Chicago during the Prohibition in the United States, Prohibition era. He was best known for his long and bloody feud with Chicago Outfit boss Al Capone. Aiello masterminded several unsuccessful attempts to assassinate Capone, and fought against his former business partner Antonio Lombardo, a Capone ally, for control of the Chicago branch of the Unione Siciliana benevolent society. Aiello and his ally Bugs Moran are believed to have arranged the murder of Lombardo, which directly led Capone to organize the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in retaliation. Pasquale Lolordo (1887 – January 8, 1929), also known as Pasqualino or "Patsy", was an Italian-born American Mafia boss from Ribera, Sicily, and head of the Chicago chapter of the Unione Siciliana, a "front" organization for the Mafia. Lolordo was considered one of the most powerful mafia bosses during the late 1920s. Lolordo succeeded Antonio "The Scourge" Lombardo, an associate of Al Capone, as chapter president. Lombardo had been killed only months before after he refused to turn the presidency over to Mafia mobster Joe Aiello. Joseph "Hop Toad" Giunta (1887 – May 7, 1929), was an American mobster with the Chicago Outfit. He was born in Cicero, Illinois. He was of Italian descent. Biography After the murder of Unione Siciliana president Pasqualino "Patsy" Lolordo, Giunta became the new president of the Siciliana in 1929. He unsuccessfully tried to organize a revolt against Al Capone's gang.
