Giovanni Battista Lucini or Giovan Battista Lucini (9 July 1639 – 14 or 15 September 1686) was an Italian painter who produced many religious compositions for the religious institutions in Crema. Filippo Abbiati
Filippo Abbiati (1640–1715) was an Italian painter of the early- Baroque period, active in Lombardy and Turin, together with Andrea Lanzani and Stefano Maria Legnani, he was a prominent mannerist painters from the School of Lombardy. Born in Milan, he was a pupil of the painter Antonio Busca. Alessandro Magnasco was one of his pupils along with Pietro Maggi and Giuseppe Rivola. Ticozzi claims he trained, along with Federigo Bianchi, with Carlo Francesco Nuvolone. Along with Bianchi, he painted the cupola of Sant'Alessandro Martire in Milan. Abbiati also painted a ''St. John preaching in the Wilderness'' for a church in Saronno. Filippo Abbiati was an apprentice of Carlo Francesco Nuvolone, of whom he resumed the fluid touch and taste for the spacious and luminous foundations, and then of Antonio Busca. The Order of Preachers ( la, Ordo Praedicatorum) abbreviated OP, also known as the Dominicans, is a Catholic mendicant order of Pontifical Right for men founded in Toulouse, France, by the Spanish priest, saint and mystic Dominic of Caleruega. Ombriano
Ombriano (called Umbrià in the local dialect) is a village which forms a suburban district of Crema, in the province of Cremona, in the region of Lombardy in Italy. It is located 1.95 kilometers west of Crema proper, along the road to Lodi. History The locality is mentioned for the first time in 1092. It was then an agricultural village located along the road to Lodi. In the Napoleonic age (1809–16), Ombriano became a part of Crema, but recovered its autonomy with the establishment of the Kingdom of Lombardy–Venetia in 1815. At the time of the Italian unification in 1861 the village had 1,544 inhabitants. In 1865 the Municipality of Porta Ombriano was merged with the Municipality of Ombriano. In 1928 the Municipality of Ombriano was definitively annexed to Crema.
